In a VIP booth at L.A.'s hot, sleek Lobby nightclub on March 17, Laguna Beach's Kristin Cavallari, 19, and a tall, dark and handsome star were deep in a liplock, very publicly making out. "They were really getting it on!" says a source who was on the scene. Just another hot date for Kristin and new beau Nick Lachey, 32? Wrong! The guy she was kissing was Brody Jenner, 22, the boyfriend she split from almost immediately before hooking up with Nick last month!

Also at Lobby was former USC quarterback Matt Leinart, Nick's good friend, looking on as the former lovebirds kept kissing, even as they moved to the dance floor. Kristin had met up with both guys earlier for a decadent two-hour dinner at Dolce restaurant and then adjourned to the 2B Free Fashion Show at The Regent Beverly Wilshire hotel before settling in at Lobby for the night. "She was thrilled to be back with Brody," says the source. "She was all over him all night. They left together, too."

WHERE WAS NICK?
That same night, Nick was in Cincinnati, Ohio, one week into an 11-city radio tour to promote his new single, "What's Left of Me." Lachey, soon to be divorced from Jessica Simpson, 25, had spent the day at two separate radio events and then the night at Cincinnati's Fifth Third Arena, watching the Bearcats play the Charlotte 49ers in basketball.
