You'd think a dream internship at Teen Vogue, getting VIP treatment all over Hollywood and having your own show on MTV would make most girls happy -- not so Lauren Conrad of "The Hills." Need any brie with that whine?The pouty F-lister dined at Da Silvano in New York City with new boss and co-star Whitney Port, along with two young bucks, some Vanity Fair editors ... and an entire MTV crew. On-camera, LC's all big eyes and smiles, but a TMZ spy at Da Silvano last night said that once the cameras stopped rolling, L.C. was angst ridden, complaining about having to work "five days a week." Who does that?
Did someone forget to tell Lauren that her life -- swank dinners, bitchfighting, shopping, blah blah blah -- is her work?

I don't think she is overexposed, but I think it's getting to that point. I feel like the show will take the Simple life route, where the stars become so huge that you don't want to watch them on TV anymore because. TH S1 was refreshing because we didn't know what to expect, now the show is predictable because the stuff they show is not new because we've already read or heard about it before it even airs.

It's a built in marketing tool to get her name out there and it's obviously working regardless of the drama. And its Heidi and Spencer that are bringing it on because they're starved for attention. The main thing is that she's got a deal with Mark cosmetics and she's got a fashion line and handbag line coming out. She knows nothing lasts in Hollywood and the Hills is only a temporary side gig. ReplyDeleteActually Lauren has an amazing internship, and she still attends school unlike other "famewhores" on the show. I think she's been so successful in other areas of her life that she doesn't care about acting or singing because she's clearly prepared herself for the possibility of not being on tv. I think out of all of the Laguna stars, Lauren became the biggest yet she remains the most down to earth and doesn't let fame get to her head.

She's not doing anything different from designers buying ads and publicity for their products.
