He romanced Lauren Conrad on Laguna Beach and resurfaced on The Hills. Now Jason Wahler is back with a reality show of his own.
“I have a TV show coming out,” Wahler, 21, told PEOPLE at Tuesday’s Kanye West Absolut 100 party in Hollywood. “It’s a reality show basically making it from reality to mainstream.”
The former Laguna Beach star is trying to clean up his act after spending 18 days in jail for assault last fall.
And he’s focused on his impending wedding to girlfriend, college tennis player Katja Decker-Sadowski, whom he proposed to in 2007.
Wedding plans are “going good,” says Wahler, who credits Decker-Sadowski with keeping him in line: “She keeps me on top of my stuff. That’s what the show is about also: She keeps me out of trouble.”
Decker-Sadowski adds, laughing, “We’ll probably end up having a big wedding since we both have a lot of family.”
Asked if Wahler still keeps in touch with his Hills costars and ex Conrad, he says, “I got my whole new life. This is the first time I’ve been out in seven months!”
