In case you didn't get the memo, this fight was staged for publicity purposes for the 4th season.
Do you think it was sheer coincidence that the fight occured in front of OK Maggazine? Of course not, it's great FREE publicity and best of all Lauren & Audrina have successfully dethroned Speidi from their weekly staged covers! Would you rather read about Heidi & Spencer's marriage plans (blech!) or about a rift between Audrina & Lauren. I think most of us would pick Lauren & Audrina any day.
This obvously is going to continue all season- so pick sides all you want but please realize the girls are STILL friends and this is all for the cameras's folks!!!
ps if you still want to debate who was right and who was wrong - from a stictly legal point of view Lauren doesn't have a leg to stand on. The shoot was cleared with Lauren's "people" and since the back house is currently where Audrina resides, it is well within her LEGAL rights to film or do anything else she wants to do back there.
i agree Audrina should have had the decency to at least talk to lauren and not just her managers or her people.

ReplyDeleteI don't see why it makes a difference whether Audrina or MTV (Audrina's employer) is paying the rent...Lauren's still accepting money to rent out space. If MTV is paying rent, than I would consider it a job benefit and I'm sure its part of Audrina's contract.

I don't think its upsurd to go through Lauren's rep when it comes to business matters - it makes sense that the rep would keep track of these kinds of things. I can see why Lauren's upset, but Audrina did what she was supposed to. Lauren could have just as easily informed Audrina of the situation.
I have to say I'm getting pretty tired of Lauren and her all about me attitude. They say celebrities (and especially reality stars) are the most narcassitic people out there and while I think people come in that way, I also think fame tends to breed it. She used to be so much more down-to-earth.

I think the feud is fake but I don't know what Lauren was thinking to be honest. After spending years talking about how Laguna and the Hills is "real" why start going the fake Speidi route?

I don't think both girls are home as often as you think. Audrina has a full-time (or is it part-time) job at Epic and she has tons of events to go to, shopping, clubbing, going out to eat...And I'm sure Lauren has a bunch of things going on as well. Plus they're both flying around the country (new york, hawaii, vegas, florida, etc) So I'm sure can be pretty hard to catch each other. Plus when you live such a fast-paced life, you kind of get to relying on your publicist/agent to remind you of every little thing you have scheduled. I mean, when I was doing modeling and acting full-time (and school on top of that) sometimes I would get shuttled from place to place and have no idea where I was going or what exactly I was doing every single day...sometimes all I knew was I had to show up with heels and a notebook. So anyway, maybe it came up really fast and Audrina didn't have time to catch Lauren and she thought well, at least Lauren's publicist said she would tell her and maybe she thought that would be enough given the circumstance.

When you reside somewhere it does give you the legal right to do what you like in that place provided you're not breaking the law. Clearly, Audrina wasn't breaking any laws and once again, Lauren had been advised of the shoot. So, what's the big deal? I still think the whole thing was staged but if it wasnn't Lauren is a big drama queen and a bitch to boot!
Audrina needs to move out and quit living in Laurens place already..

people are bored of the lauren/speidi drama and i'm sure MTV is aware of that. they definitely would concentrate more on the lauren/audrina rift. and besides, it's not like audrina would just stop getting invited to events. as we've seen by all the media attention she's been getting lately, she is making a name for herself in hollywood like it or not. i'm sure audrina would (and should) still go to events even if lauren is invited. she's not that immature to let some girl she most likely wont even speak to get in the way of her good time.

By doing a photo shoot Lauren knew about in her OWN apt? Sorry even a lawyer wouldn't touch that case because Lauren is in the wrong.
