Hills star Spencer Pratt is flattered that Mary-Kate Olsen commented about his temper to David Letterman Thursday.
"I don't really get why she'd use my name to get press for her little indie film that no one's going to see," he told Usmagazine.com Friday. "She should probably focus more on not getting dressed in the dark than on me."
While promoting her indie film The Wackness, Olsen told Letterman that Pratt played soccer at her high school and "he does not have a good temper. He would walk off the field."
But Pratt told Us that Olsen went to Campbell Hall in North Hollywood while he attended Crossroads School in Santa Monica.
"I know I've made it in Hollywood when a famous troll is talking about me on Letterman," Pratt told Us.
"I forgive her, though," he added. "She's had to go through life as the less cute twin, which must be tough."

ReplyDeleteyou know he must be loving this. the more attention the better. and of course when the dust has settled on this minor story, he will bring it up months later and put his spin on it- making up lies, leaking personal stories about mk- it's the speidi famewhore model. It worked on lauren it will probably work on poor MK. She would have been better off not mentioning his name at all.

ReplyDeleteAbout the school thing though, I'm pretty sure Spencer's family would NOT have sent him to school in North Hollywood, especially one called "campbell hall". Perhaps Mary-Kate's school played against his school and she got mixed up about which team he was on (typical girl thing, haha)

His language about women is extremely hateful. When he made those offensive comments about Lauren's femininity that was a major red flag. Another individual who degrades women endlessly is blogger Perez Hilton. Not surprisingly the two are friends. There has been increased speculation about Spencer's sexuality. In fact, it is not uncommon for gay men to degrade women. The author of Center for Gravitas described Queer mysogny as "For many gay men, degrading women’s bodies as dysfunctional, inferior, or just plain icky becomes a means through which they attempt to build unity with other gay men."

ReplyDeleteI think his friends are honestly too afraid to come forward. And I imagine some of them like Perez Hilton are being paid off to stay quiet. Ever since he and Heidi gained noteriety, they have been quietly making allegiances with powerful and connected people in the industry as a way to build their "brand" but also as a way to protect themselves from people who might criticize them. Clearly even MaryKate Olsen is not immune from the Spencer effect. You would think that a magazine like UsWeekly would be on the side of MK, but no their brazenly publishing Spencer's comments instead.
