  1. Why would they use sick children as a publicity ploy? Of course it's wonderful for anyone to spend time with sick children, and I'm sure these kids enjoyed the visit, but it seems like a disservice to these kids to invite photographers around to document their "charity" and "goodwill". The pictures portray them posing next to these children as if they are attractions... these children should be cared for and visited in a genuine manner. Not at all used in order to further someone's "career". I've been very disturbed by these two before, but this just upsets me to the very core.

  2. I admire anyone that does charity work.
However, I do have to agree that there was no need to bring in photogs for this event. They simply should have gone without a camera crew.

  3. well if they didn't bring cameras there would be no proof and you people would bitch and moan about them either way. "omg, these people do absolutely no charity work, not like our good ol' LC" or whatever

  7. you know i think those kids have the righ to take pictures with heidi and spencer, but why would heidi and spencer ask for a professional camera team to follow them?! its like so not classy to do that...i wouldnt have brought a camera team. But i agree that its a good thing they did it.

  8. It is a good thing that they went there and whatnot but c'monnnnn! heidi and spencer just want as much attention as possible and they will do whatever it takes. Ugh, gosh they make me want to puke.

  10. They did a good thing. Stop bitching about it unless you are a person who spends time in this way. I bet none of you are so shut the fuck up and quit your bitching. THEY DID A GOOD THING!!!!!!

  11. I don't see how this is charity - if anything, it's evil. How many of us get sick just thinking of them? Poor kids.

But seriously, I've expected this for a while - I just thought they'd dress up as clowns or something. While I usually think charity is charity, I find this a bit patronizing (as I do the supposed planned visit to Iraq). Do they really think they're bringing joy to people's lives by hanging out with them?

I also think bringing a camera crew is terribly unclassy. Reminds me of when Sean Penn went down to New Orleans to help out - he had this tiny little boat and then like 3 of his entourage and a photographer or two with him with only room to pick up 1 or maybe 2 people who were stranded. It was completely pathetic.
