She's detached herself from her Laguna Beach persona, atleast in her mind, though clearly not in the minds of those that post in this forum. Also, VH1 likes to make up these award things and this one is nothing special. Winning, though nice, would not have been too big a deal. Being VH1's hot girl in 2005 for this one award show would do very little to help her career, I'd imagine. What will help her will be staying in the public's eye, just what the other nominees, Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, and Nicole Richie have managed to do quite well.
