Reality TV star Heidi Montag will launch her pop career with a performance of an untitled new song at her 21 birthday party in Las Vegas. The Hills star is refusing to reveal too much about new song, but admits it features a sample of one of her favorite tunes.
She says, "It's an '80s sample from Depeche Mode's 'Personal Jesus.' I love their music."
She'll play it live at her birthday bash in September.
Can I say, public humiliation. On the other hand, what if she is actually good? She is working with one of the top music producers in the world and all you really need is some good production to make it. Look at all the horrible singers who make it, because they work with the right people, like Britney, Rihanna, JLo and so many more.
britney, rihanna and jennifer lopez aren't horrible singers. in fact, all you have to do is watch old footage of britney on star search to know she can sing. it takes more than good producers.... which doesn't bode well for heidi.
But, we have not heard her sing yet, so it is still too early to judge?
And Britney can't really sing. That's like saying Paris can sing. Just because someone has a bit of tone don't make them a singer like Christina and Jojo. Britney is more of a performer, at least she used to be.

britney spears can sing. err, used to be able to sing. i assume she still can. anyone remember the amazing vocals from clips of her as a child? or some of the vocals on a few of her early songs? the cigarettes, the partying... who knows. now though, i agree i'd rather not listen to anything that comes out of her mouth. as for heidi, best of luck to her. i do wish actresses would act and singers would sing and be the best they can be at one thing rather than mediocre at several things.
