The Hills star Spencer Pratt and Joel Madden had to be forcibly separated after a huge fight at the Beverly Hills Hotel on Saturday afternoon.Spencer confirmed the run-in exclusively to In Touch but insists it was all a misunderstanding over Joel’s pregnant girlfriend Nicole Richie.
He told In Touch: “I was sitting having a quiet lunch with (fiancee) Heidi (Montag) when Nicole walked in and started pointing at me and then whispering to Joel. He storms over and starts shouting, ‘You’ve been talking shit about my girl.’ I told him, ‘Please can we not do this at the Beverly Hills hotel. This is ridiculous.’ Then he started screaming and calling me names.”
After disturbing diners, both Joel and Nicole were escorted out of the hotel, according to an eyewitness.
Spencer, however, claims he never said anything derogatory about Nicole. “It all stems from an interview in Details ages ago where I was misquoted calling Nicole a skinny bitch. It’s all a misunderstanding. I’ve always thought she’s a really nice girl and I wouldn’t call her that.”

joel madden can definitly beat spencer up. i read the things that spencer said about nicole, and thats just not right. if i was her boyfriend, i'd do the same thing.

seriously, i would pay to see ANYONE punch spencer.. but yeah, after his comments about wanting brody to be the guy to get nicole to eat and referring to her as a b*tch, not only is he crying out for publicity, his asinine behavior proves what he really is inside -- a complete and total moron
They would make so much money off of people paying to see joel hit spencer.
I cannot believe that joel was escorted. I wish they would have just let him kick spencer ass and sale the video for everyone to see.
Spencer has a he think he is walys right problem. They should have just let Joel go and teach him a lesson.
On TMZ they said that Spencer called In Touch to tell them about the fight. He will do anything to get publicity. He says the he was misquoted and didn't say that about Nicole. He must have forgotton that he was on a reality show where he says stuff like that every day. It is completely in character. Why would Details make that up? I'm sure the reporter recorded it.
I know that this is old news, but he also told Details that he was going to make a sex tape with heidi and then release it. Why would any girl in her right mind stay with a guy who said something like that about her? She stupidly discounts everything that he said about her as "just a joke," but that he loves her now. He doesn't love her. He loves what she can do for him. He asked her to move in with him because it would ensure that he was on the third season of the Hills.
Ugh this day would have been so much better if I knew Spencer got his ass kicked. We can all dream. Hopefully it will become a reality soon.
Spencer would do anything for attention. Joel should have kicked his ass. I like how he said that nicole pointed at him and whispered in joel ears and just went right up there to kick his butt.

I just watched the Hills episode where he picks a fight with Heidi's co-worker. If he keeps running his mouth the way he does he's bound to get jacked in the face eventually. Hopefully it's sooner rather than later.
