Wow... I just read what Spencer had to say about Lauren. I think it's definitely a good call on cutting him off completely. Seriously, he has completely crossed the line. Have to say I'm kind of disappointed you decided not to post pictures of Spencer but it's your choice. I'm sorry, are we talking about Lauren or Spencer? Spencer bashed Lauren the entire last season and Spencer tried to break up Heidi and Lauren's relationship! NOT the other way around! Lauren was just saying to be careful...and she wasn't the only one who felt that way. So did Heidi's coworkers and Heidi's other friends. He was throwing up red flags left and right with his behavior. I can only HOPE that if I ever became that pathetic and dated that big of an asshole, that my friends would let me know immediately that they care and they don't think he's right for me.
3:08pm, i don't think Lauren has had everything handed to her on a silver platter. She may be very rich, but this girl still worked an after school/summer job while she was in Laguna. Also, she was very involved in a lot of fundraising activities to raise money for various causes. Her going to a fashion college has always been her goal and that was something she did herself. She may have gotten lucky to land an MTV gig, but how is she any different from other people who've starred in MTV shows? As for Teen Vogue, sure she probably had a better chance than most to get her foot in the door. But that's about it. She works just as hard as any regular intern there. I mean we see her on her hands and knees putting shoes on a models. I hardly call that a priviliged work life. I mean, you can't say she's done absolutely nothing to deserve any of the success she's getting now. I think she's earned it.
Well, I believe she only takes one class per semester and its not like her internship is a full-time job. And I definetely don't think she works just as hard as any other intern - remember Emily, the super-intern? She was miles above Lauren as far as work ethic. These are highly sought after internships and Emily is more the rule than the exception.
I will say that Lauren has gotten a lot better at the internship, but she definetely wouldn't have lasted in the beginning if it weren't for her show. She hung out with her friends at a party where she was told not to and she whined about having to work on her boyfriend's birthday. She didn't even know who Andre Leon Talley was and she had worked at Teen Vogue for over a year! And of course, there's always Paris.
But in all honesty, I don't think she's a slacker or anything - she's just not much of a go-getter. And I'm comparing her to the rest of America, not reality stars. It just pains me to see people commend her on her work ethic when there are people who truly bust their butts to be successful, or to get an education, or even just to put food on the table.
While MTV may helped to arrange for Lauren to get her interview at Teen Vogue, she has kept that internship through hard work and perserverance. After several months of shooting for MTV, school and working she was looking forward to a break, and college is one of the last times you can take advantage of those breaks. gweneviere, since when did spencer become a part of "Laguna Beach". He isn't so it makes sense that he would not be a part of the Laguna Beach Hookup. Laguna Beach consists of - Kristin, Lauren, Lo, Jason, Stephen, et. all. No Spencer. No Heidi. Period.
And slander is not a constitutional right. I'd say Spencer is going to be paying dearly for his words or he would be if I was in Lauren's shoes.
And as a journalist, Lauren is not leading the interviews. The journalist/writer is. They are deciding what to ask her and what they are going to right. They can spin anything and right now the Heidi story is what they are spinning.

Heidi had a small part in season 3... in the past, many people who have had small parts in the shows, Heidi, Nikki (Kendra's boyfriend's sister!), Jen... have been featured in photos. So your argument is weak.
Also, your journalist idea is useless. Lauren may not be the journalist, but have you ever heard of, "pleading the fifth" or "I refuse to comment on my personal life" ... you have. Don't be naive. Just because you are asked a question, doesn't mean you have to answer it.

Wow... I just read what Spencer had to say about Lauren. I think it's definitely a good call on cutting him off completely. Seriously, he has completely crossed the line. I didn't think he could get any more ugly than he already was. This guy (and his girlfriend IMO) should not be givien any more notice from anyone. We may never know what really happened between them and LC, but for Spencer to take it to this level is downright cruel and malicious.

Have to say I'm kind of disappointed you decided not to post pictures of Spencer but it's your choice. Whit: Lauren has gotten so much stronger as a person. When she moved to LA, she was a little unsure of herself. Now she's more aggressive and can stand up fir herself.

lauren: when a friend stabs you in the back, it's almost bittersweet, because you know you lost a friend. But, in a way, it makes you appreciate all the people in your life who are good. I have all these amazing friends who would never do that to me.
audrina: Heidi and Spencer spread rumors and say things that aren't true. They want attention and they'll use Lauren's name to get it. It makes them happy making other people sad. Audrina: Spencer is always into these Playboy models, so I think that put a lot of pressure on Heidi. I think she felt pressure to look good and look like the ones he was lusting over.

I feel like if there's something about your body that you don't like or you're uncomfortable about it, you should accept it, work on it or change it. And I say, "Whitney, you're my boss. Tell me what I do?" She's the least bossy person.

lauren: I always get too attached to a guy, then I get all emotional and, like, then we break up and whatever happens. I just want to have fun with dating. And when you break up, it's always the girl sitting around being so upset about it, and then the guys out dating the next week. So I said I was going to go into it with a "guy" mentality where its, like fun.
Audrina: Lauren and I give each other advice on guys. We give a lot of advice on dating. When we get ready, we comment on what we are wearing and help each other get ready.

A day after Spencer Pratt fired an angry missive off to Lauren Conrad and her supporters via his website, fiancee Heidi Montag added her two cents in an interview with Philadelphia radio station Q102.
When asked how much she hated Conrad, Montag, 20, answered, "A lot. I think it's really pathetic that she's so obsessed with my life and my relationship. I really think she needs to concentrate on something else, it's sad."
She later added, "I never could be friends with a low-life like that."
Pratt, 23, whose beef with Conrad is no secret, joined in on the LC-bashing session, offering a derisive "Ha ha" when the radio hosts made mention of her fashion line and calling the designs "stupid."
Pratt derided his co-star further when asked if he was waiting for a tabloid to pay him for the dirt on Conrad. "I'm just trying to see if I even want to waste my breath talking about this stupid girl anymore."
Montag also told listeners that if it weren't for favorable editing, "the world would hate [Conrad]."
On the subject of their engagement, the couple explained that they were too busy currently to plan their wedding. Montag, however, told a caller that living with Pratt is like "living with your best friend."

Look no one here thinks Lauren is a saint. But, what I like about her and what I think others like about her is that she's ambitious, she has goals and she works hard to achieve them, she's not like Spedi who live off of (posed) pictures they sell to the paparazzi! You guys are so ridiculous. Lauren didn't have to bash him in an interview, she bashed him the entire season last year and tried to break up his relationship. Whether he is a good guy or not, anyone would hate her if they were in his position. Face it, Lauren has to be in the middle of a fight with some girl (Kristen, Heidi) so that she can stay on TV. It is contrived BS. I use to like watching the girl but I have had a belly full of her "poor me" complex. Need I remind you of how she ran around with Kristen's boyfriend from time to time? I'm sorry, are we talking about Lauren or Spencer? Spencer bashed Lauren the entire last season and Spencer tried to break up Heidi and Lauren's relationship! NOT the other way around! Lauren was just saying to be careful...and she wasn't the only one who felt that way. So did Heidi's coworkers and Heidi's other friends. He was throwing up red flags left and right with his behavior. I can only HOPE that if I ever became that pathetic and dated that big of an asshole, that my friends would let me know immediately that they care and they don't think he's right for me.
3:08pm, i don't think Lauren has had everything handed to her on a silver platter. She may be very rich, but this girl still worked an after school/summer job while she was in Laguna. Also, she was very involved in a lot of fundraising activities to raise money for various causes. Her going to a fashion college has always been her goal and that was something she did herself. She may have gotten lucky to land an MTV gig, but how is she any different from other people who've starred in MTV shows? As for Teen Vogue, sure she probably had a better chance than most to get her foot in the door. But that's about it. She works just as hard as any regular intern there. I mean we see her on her hands and knees putting shoes on a models. I hardly call that a priviliged work life. I mean, you can't say she's done absolutely nothing to deserve any of the success she's getting now. I think she's earned it.
Well, I believe she only takes one class per semester and its not like her internship is a full-time job. And I definetely don't think she works just as hard as any other intern - remember Emily, the super-intern? She was miles above Lauren as far as work ethic. These are highly sought after internships and Emily is more the rule than the exception.
I will say that Lauren has gotten a lot better at the internship, but she definetely wouldn't have lasted in the beginning if it weren't for her show. She hung out with her friends at a party where she was told not to and she whined about having to work on her boyfriend's birthday. She didn't even know who Andre Leon Talley was and she had worked at Teen Vogue for over a year! And of course, there's always Paris.
But in all honesty, I don't think she's a slacker or anything - she's just not much of a go-getter. And I'm comparing her to the rest of America, not reality stars. It just pains me to see people commend her on her work ethic when there are people who truly bust their butts to be successful, or to get an education, or even just to put food on the table.
Of course, YMMV so I'll just stop here.

While MTV may helped to arrange for Lauren to get her interview at Teen Vogue, she has kept that internship through hard work and perserverance.
And I'm sorry but, most people in the world are not like Emily the super intern, Thank God! Whitney and Lauren were both freaked out by her and frankly so was I.
It's also very easy to pick apart someone else's perceived "mistakes" but we are all individuals not one size fits all. Maybe Paris would have been the right choice for YOU but it was not the right choice for Lauren. Even if Lauren were not dating Jason, my gut feeling is that she wouldn't have gone . After several months of shooting for MTV, school and working she was looking forward to a break, and college is one of the last times you can take advantage of those breaks. Honestly I don't blame her one bit for wanting to be a normal "kid".
Look. I'm not saying Lauren's the hardest working woman in the world but in the midst of a Paris, Nicole, Lindsay and Britney it's nice to see someone "normal" who picks school and a career over getting high and driving drunk.
6:15 you are right on! It is funny that LC and her parents have not sought a lawyer and file a slander lawsuit against this pathetic loser. He would have to prove that there is a sex tape that exists and prove that Jason, stephen and brody use that term to describe LC which is a lie because even heidi said on Ryan Seacrest show that she has only heard it from him.
