Kristin on Cane?

Though it's not exactly a stretch, Kristin Cavallari has snagged a role as famous party girl "Casey Clark" on the new CBS drama Cane. In Touch has exclusively learned that Kristin's acting turn was opposite veteran stars like Jimmy Smits and musical artists Nicole Scherzinger of The Pussycat Dolls and Will.I.Am of the Black Eyed Peas. No word on whether Kristin employed method acting or simply got inspiration from the likes of Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears.

    I'm glad she's still getting opportunities since mtv! she's gorgeous and has a great personality.

    she may be attractive and bubbly in front of a camera, but I'm not sure if that translates into being a good actress. these days anyone can call themselves an actor, singer, dancer, designer, etc without having any real talent, training or work ethic-- usually its the people behind the scenes doing all the work that make these projects successful. it will be interesting to see what kristin will make of this role. i imagine that shortly we will be inundated with stories in the press hyping kristin's role on the show.

    I am not a fan of Kristen, but I am happy for her. They have all come a long way. Hope she gets to make it big.

    ^yes they have all come a long way. just a few short years ago, people would have laughed at the idea of reality tv stars trying and succeeding as legitimate celebrities. But the nature of celebrity has changed so much in these short years that all of the lb kids have benefited. And now they have endorsement deals and tv/film roles. Its quite amazing! i keep wondering, ''will their hollywood dreams come crashing down to earth or is reality tv the new celebrity?'' I'm afraid it might be the latter.
