When Jason Wahler and his fiancée, 19-year-old USC sophomore Katja Decker-Sadowski, announced their engagement at an August 25 housewarming for their L.A. pad, one reveler wasn’t too psyched: his ex Lauren Conrad, whom he dated on and off for a year.Despite her congratulations, “it seemed like she wasn’t happy for me,” Wahler tells Us, adding that LC showed up unannounced with Audrina Patridge and the Hills cameras.
“I wanted her to go…There was a weird tension,” says Wahler, 20. “I have to give up a friend until it mellows out.”
For her part, Conrad, 21, tells Us, “I am really happy for Jason and wish them all the happiness.”

Glad Jason finally cleaned up. Lauren is probably sad because it's a situation where girls think... why couldn't it be me that could help? I'm sure he was her first love and it's hard to let go of them.
Hmmm...that's interesting. That is weird for her to show up if she wasn't invited. Especially with a camera crew - that's actually pretty rude.
Although, maybe Jason's making a big deal out of nothing. But the fact that Jason's said all this has got to sting...it makes her sound kind of crazy and pathetic! As soon as he does something nice like stand up for her about the sex tape, he says stuff like this.

I truly doubt Lauren would show up announced and with cameras. Besides, if he didn't want the cameras or Lauren there why would he bother letting them in? And don't you have to sign releases to be on camera? Jason is not the type of guy to do anything he doesn't want to do so frankly this all sounds like a big fat pile of crap to me...Maybe Jason is trying to stir the PR pot ..or maybe his fiance is jealous of all support he's given Lauren recently and he was doing damage control by dissing Lauren publically? Whatever the reason, it proves once again that Jason was never the right guy for Lauren. He may be a good guy underneath all that crap but why settle for a guy who's full of crap to begin with...

You are so right nikki. It takes these camera crew so long to get ready... he could have waited to do it another time. Secondly everyone at the party have to sign consent, MTV cannot show up to a party unannounced and start video.
I hope LC is over him. If she had a little bit of feeling for him she should watch that rap show on MTV plus this stunt and completely cut him off out of her life. Pathetic.

Yeah I don't believe this. It sounds like something Jason just made up to get attention. I thought I just read somewhere that Lauren was invited? But even if she wasn't Jason and his fiance would have known about it before she came if she had cameras with her.
This has to be hard for Lauren though. I remember her saying something about how Jason used to ask her everyday to marry him and now he's getting married to someone else. He really jumps into these kinda things fast.
9:14, why would they be filming Jason and whatever her name is? This is Lauren, Heidi, Audrina, and Whitney's show. Lauren isn't dating Jason anymore so why would they show just Jason and whatshername when nobody even knows who she is and Jason isn't a main cast member?

9:14, Re read the article. He said that LC showed up "with cameras unannounced" that means that the cameras came with her. It is not like they were filming and she crashed the party. This story seems fishy to me...

Whoever said Jason's girlfriend would have to sign a release was right, so yes, something about this story is odd.
If Lauren wasn't happy it would be understandable and real.

The chances of any 19 year old and 20 year old getting married and staying married for the long haul is very slim. (Try to remember he's only just out of rehab and they only met 6 months ago)

From afar she looks alright but upclose she is not that cute. There is another pic of her at another side of them eating and she was not very pretty.
Anyhow... Lauren is better off. I doubt that she crashed the party because she would have to know when/where... plus she came with camera... so things would have to be in place. Something does not sit right with this story.

Maybe MTV told Jason and his fiance that they would film the proposal but neglected to tell him that The Hills girls would be there? Geez. Poor Lauren. What a rough way to find out.
Jason should have bit his tongue though. He said Lauren was really supportive of him and his rehab efforts. So he should have kept this little senerio between them instead of discussing it publicly out of respect for their friendship. Also, he ruined the surprise for us viewers! Now we know what to expect! I would think that Lauren felt cheated to a certain degree.
She put in time and effort with Jason and then when he FINALLY cleaned up he proposed to Katja.

I don't blame her for being upset that he got engaged so quickly, but if that's the case, she really shouldn't have gone. Maybe the Hills pressured her to go and then pressured Jason/Katja to have their party filmed? That could explain why it was so awkward for everyone.
Who knows if this story is even true or not. We'd be fools to believe everything we read in those trash magazines. If the story smells like a rotten egg, it probably is one!
jason is not only an alcoholic, he's a cokehead. The first rule you learn in ANY 12 step program including Alcoholics Anon & Narcotics Anon is do not get romantically involved for 1 full year. I wonder what his sponsor thinks of his engagement...?

Lauren should move on, Jason treated her so bad, It's probobly not healthy for her to even be his friend if ashe still has feelings for him, he is happy now and she needs to find someone of her own.
