Spencer is such a baby. He's the one that wanted Heidi to get the big promotion and now he's crying about it. What did he think would happen, Heidi gets the job and gets more money without the extra work. He's so dumb.

overall, I enjoyed this episode. Not as much drama as in previous but still enjoyable nonetheless. The scenes between whitney and lauren were definitely funny. I thought gavin was cute. I wish Lauren would give him a second chance because he treated her very nice. And I think Lauren deserves a nice guy for a change.
As for Speidi, all their scenes seemed so conrived and fake. They seemed like they were acting throughout the episode especially when Spencer visited Heidi at Bolthouse. There were a couple of times when they almost seemed like they were going to burst out laughing.

I'm also calling for a truce between Brody and Spencer, and a reconcilliation with Heidi and Lauren. This show is becoming more and more scripted everyday! Did you guys know Heidi doesn't even work at Bolthouse? She just films parts of the show there!
i think gavin was sweet to her, so what if there weren't sparks on the first, maybe the second. but lauren knows what she wants, maybe she just didn't see it in him. lauren probably peeled off the polish, my sister does that every time she paints her nails.
well i think its just because they take segments from different days and mesh them into one. for example did anyone notice that the clothes they are wearing to brody's beach house are the exact same ones they were wearing in the previous episode? the blue dress on lauren and the grey outfit on lo? plus that shirt that brody wore! i think they just made different segments look like one day
The comment about the cast. I think I remember reading something that says Brody doesn't like wearing it and his doctor looks on TMZ to see if he's wearing it or not then calls and yells at him. LOL.
The are wearing the same clothes because that is the scene of them the morning before the barbecue. It is suppose to be the same day. I have to re watch the episode for that nail polish thing. I think that there was a possibility of LC and Brody getting together... then they went to Vegas for the MTV awards and Lauren was kissing on cisco which made brody mad and then she went to a party with Josh Henderson... So I dont think they will be together anymore. But, they are cute together.

The Spedi scenes were so fake. Spencer never once got out of his car before when he went to visit Heidi at Bolthouse, I was always kind of shocked about how she would leave work and run out to the parking lot for him!! So, for him to all of a sudden actually go into her work with no phone call 1st would NEVER have happened. They obviously set it up for dramtic purposes and you can totally see Heidi's lips curled up in a smile several parts during the scene. Ridiculous! MTV needs to ditch these 2 already. Give us more Audrina, Whitney and Lo instead.

lol @ lauren is RETARTED ha ha. I thought this episode was a bit dull, there wasn't much going on. Brody was acting like owns Lauren, like she's not supposed to like anyone apart from him. Gavin was CUTE.Wow. Such a nice smile and teeth and lips and...i'll stop now lol He sounded like he still missed his ex anyway and would just come with a lot of baggage. But forget all this, does anyone else think that FRANKIE is into Lauren? I just get this vibe like he fancies her, but wouldn't outright do anything because she's kinda off-limits. Seriousy, watch the bit where Lauren and Lo come to the bbq, he barely glances at Lo and moves to hug Lauren. Of course, this might just be wishful thinking on my part hee hee!
I really couldn't watch Speidi. They're acting and they aren't good at it. I do think MTV mixed scenes from different times in this episode but viewers should know by now that it's part of the game. I never took this show to be 100% accurate. I think Brody's a playa but I can't deny that he and Lauren are very cute together. I thought Gavin was a sweetheart and Lo was funny.
I think either Lo and Frankie or dating or they are regular hookup buddies, did you see Lo's reaction when Audrina said it would be interesting to see How Frankie & Brody would be towards Gavin at the BBQ since "Lauren was their girl". I cracked up when Lo immediatly jumped in with a Frankie wouldn't mind type of comment. Territorial much? ;)
I agree with 10:37pm. No way is it a 100% accurate. We always knew MTV edits what they video tape to create their own story. So even though the events really take place the order of it is way off. It goes back to Laguna with the same editing mistakes, same clothes, nail polish etc. I guess MTV was just hoping the viewers wouldnt catch it. I still like the show though.
I know a lot of people thought this epi was dull but I liked it because this is what the hills used to be before all the drama... it used to be about simple storylines. I really loved this episode:
I really loved the scene between Lauren and Whitney. It shows a very genuine friendship. Whitney is a doll and together her and LC are the cuttest. It was so funny when she wanted to say something... but Lauren kept on smiling and saying "Dont". These are the real non-manufactured moment on the hills.
Gavin was cute! However, Brody is cuter and has more game. It sad that he was just a pun in the LC and Brody love affair. Maybe someone else will date him on the show. He was a real gentlemen.
You gotta love Lo. She had the best line in the show last night and she was super territorial of Frankie. I wish MTV would show us a bit of that instead of the fakeness that is speidi.
Love LC and Brody together. They have such great chemistry. The opening scene showed how relax they are with each other. The LC booty at the end was priceless..."Does it even matter" with her rolling her famous eyes.

maybe she didn't call Brody THE SECOND she got in? She could have gone and touched up her hair/taken of her polish before calling him so she'd look better when asking him over. It's hard to tell exactly how much time passes in between each scene.
I don't mind things being edited, I mean this is reality TV after all ;) that said, it does tick me off when they string together scenes that were never meant to go together. Lauren talking to Brody in the end was obviously a different night than the night of the Gavin date. Which just poses more questions. How did the Gavin date really go. Did she go out w/ him again? Who was the guy she had a boring time with - was it that basketball player she dissed publically a while back? Was the BBQ the same BBQ that Spencer missed (because he was in Colorado w/ Heidi's folks)? They all seem to be wearing the same clothes they had on that day.. I can understand changing the timeline if you want to use a conversaton to clear something up or explain something better but other than those instances it's just plain annoying!

1:07 I can only speak for myself but I've always been suspicious of Brody. I have no idea what his feelings are (or aren't) for Lauren but it does bug me that they really didn't talk from when taping stopped till when it started up again. I don't know if he's using her but in the same vein I don't know if he genuinly likes her either. None of us do. We can speculate all we want but no one knows how Brody feels except for Brody himself. What does bug me about Brody is that he has the same mannerisms Spencer does, they have the same stilted way of talking and do the exact same arm gestures! Creepy! I think because Brody is a goodlooking guy a lot of people cut him some slack. If he looked like Spencer no one would give the guy the time of day.
^I don't think people cut Brody slack solely because of his looks. Although there will always be some that will be blinded by them for sure. I think it has to do with his ability to act well around women and people in general. I've seen this kind of thing with girls who have been friends a long time too. They mimic eachother's movements. I too, have no idea what Brody is or isn't up to as far as feelings for Lauren. He may very well be a wolf in sheep's clothing. It would be disappointing though. Brody's mother is one of the sweetest women you'd ever want to meet. I feel like I have to say something about the whole Brody and LC situation. I don't think that anyone knows what Brody's true feelings for Lauren are? The only thing I can say is that they have tons of chemistry and usually people cannot fake that. I think that Brody gets a lot of crap because of his association with spencer in the past. IMO two people can be friends without having the same personality. The common things I think between Brody and spencer was that they knew each other for a long time and both liked to go out and have a good time. I dont think that Brody is like spencer at all. I mean some of stunts that spencer pulls, we have never seen from Brody. Plus, in interviews they are completely different... Brody got a lots of negativity because of that detail mag article... but if you read it most of the stupids quotes were spencer. In fact, Brody said nothing harmful but he just seemed to be rolling with the punches. The Brody that I have come to know on the hills seems fun, thoughtful and totally likeable. I am going to see him that way until he does something to make me see him otherwise.

BAD JUDGEMENT. Look at Frankie. Way better choice. Number two. Being with Jen Bunney. While he and Lauren weren't going out, so it wasn't cheating, it was still totally insensitive towards Lauren. I think Brody and Lc like hooking up and maybe she wants a relationship, but I don't think he does, I'm not denying that he cares about her and is attracted to her, but at the same time he wants to be famous and it bugs me how he pops in and out of her life when the Hills is filming. Only time will tell.
I wish Lauren would find a guy who’s nice, normal, and I don’t know, actually works or does something with his life. As much as she says that’s what she wants, its telling that she keeps ending up with these famewhores living off their parents money and whatever small notoriety they have while blowing off every normal guy because he’s “boring”. I’m not saying that Gavin was the guy, but I don’t see how that date was boring compared to her first date with Brody (which consisted of “your smile’s pretty” “really?”). I agree that Brody’s attractive (although I thought Gavin was better looking), but man, there’s just no substance there.
I know I’ll probably be bashed for this, but it’s really making me start to wonder about Lauren. Her eyes always seem so glazed over if someone’s not talking about her, her friends (or enemies), or make-up or something. I know that’s what the show focuses on; but still, every time someone starts up a conversation about something else, she looks soooo bored. I hate to think that she’s inheritably dumb or shallow, but maybe she’s been in that kind of environment for too long.
And don’t get me wrong - I’m a pop culture junkie and I like fashion/beauty. I’m not above talking about any of this stuff, but the difference is that I find other things interesting, too. I’m just starting to notice a pattern where the “good” dates are ones where the guy basically just compliments her (Brody, Jason) and the “bad” ones are where the guy actually tries to make real conversation.
^I disagree. Again MTV does a horrible editing job and we may never get to see what actually goes down on her dates. But one thing's for sure though, is that she has great chemistry with both Jason and Brody. It's undeniable. And that's the main reason why she was naturally attracted to them.

I agree that we do not get to see all her dates but based on what we see anyone can make a point that LC is pretty vapid and cares only about the superficial things in life. All the guy that she has given second chances to including stephen, jason, and Brody basically compliments her all the time and never really have any real conversation with them. For example, Stephen "hottie with the body", Jason "you are like the cutest thing" and of course Brody " beautiful smile, hair, everything" are the type of guys she seems to like. Whereas, the 40 cent shirt guy and Gavin tried to at least initiate some type of conversation but were flately rejected. I dunno if they were the "ONE" but come on... it does say something about our beloved LC. I still love her though!!!

By sitting back with Spencer during the details magazine article and not speaking up to indicate otherwise, his actiuons imply he is a coconspirator with Spencer and totally OK with all that was said and done. I'm sorry but he doesn't get a free pass on that one. If my best friend were talking trash about something I disagreed with, I would speak up. Brody had every chance to deflect or disagree with what was being said but the simple fact is he didn't. lol @ lauren is RETARTED ha ha. I thought this episode was a bit dull, there wasn't much going on. Brody was acting like owns Lauren, like she's not supposed to like anyone apart from him. Gavin was CUTE.Wow. Such a nice smile and teeth and lips and...i'll stop now lol He sounded like he still missed his ex anyway and would just come with a lot of baggage. But forget all this, does anyone else think that FRANKIE is into Lauren? I just get this vibe like he fancies her, but wouldn't outright do anything because she's kinda off-limits. Seriousy, watch the bit where Lauren and Lo come to the bbq, he barely glances at Lo and moves to hug Lauren. Of course, this might just be wishful thinking on my part hee hee!

I agree with 10:37pm. No way is it a 100% accurate. We always knew MTV edits what they video tape to create their own story. So even though the events really take place the order of it is way off. It goes back to Laguna with the same editing mistakes, same clothes, nail polish etc. I guess MTV was just hoping the viewers wouldnt catch it. I still like the show though.
I know a lot of people thought this epi was dull but I liked it because this is what the hills used to be before all the drama... it used to be about simple storylines. I really loved this episode:
I really loved the scene between Lauren and Whitney. It shows a very genuine friendship. Whitney is a doll and together her and LC are the cuttest. It was so funny when she wanted to say something... but Lauren kept on smiling and saying "Dont". These are the real non-manufactured moment on the hills.
Gavin was cute! However, Brody is cuter and has more game. It sad that he was just a pun in the LC and Brody love affair. Maybe someone else will date him on the show. He was a real gentlemen.
You gotta love Lo. She had the best line in the show last night and she was super territorial of Frankie. I wish MTV would show us a bit of that instead of the fakeness that is speidi.
Love LC and Brody together. They have such great chemistry. The opening scene showed how relax they are with each other. The LC booty at the end was priceless..."Does it even matter" with her rolling her famous eyes.
We need less Speidi and more Whitney and Audrina. I cannot stand spencer or Heidi.
The show has always taken liberty with its editing... I am ok with it as long as they are not manufacturing a storyline that is completely untrue.

maybe she didn't call Brody THE SECOND she got in? She could have gone and touched up her hair/taken of her polish before calling him so she'd look better when asking him over. It's hard to tell exactly how much time passes in between each scene.
I don't mind things being edited, I mean this is reality TV after all ;) that said, it does tick me off when they string together scenes that were never meant to go together. Lauren talking to Brody in the end was obviously a different night than the night of the Gavin date. Which just poses more questions. How did the Gavin date really go. Did she go out w/ him again? Who was the guy she had a boring time with - was it that basketball player she dissed publically a while back? Was the BBQ the same BBQ that Spencer missed (because he was in Colorado w/ Heidi's folks)? They all seem to be wearing the same clothes they had on that day..
I can understand changing the timeline if you want to use a conversaton to clear something up or explain something better but other than those instances it's just plain annoying!

I can only speak for myself but I've always been suspicious of Brody. I have no idea what his feelings are (or aren't) for Lauren but it does bug me that they really didn't talk from when taping stopped till when it started up again. I don't know if he's using her but in the same vein I don't know if he genuinly likes her either. None of us do. We can speculate all we want but no one knows how Brody feels except for Brody himself. What does bug me about Brody is that he has the same mannerisms Spencer does, they have the same stilted way of talking and do the exact same arm gestures! Creepy! I think because Brody is a goodlooking guy a lot of people cut him some slack. If he looked like Spencer no one would give the guy the time of day.

Although there will always be some that will be blinded by them for sure. I think it has to do with his ability to act well around women and people in general.
He doesn't say "waa waa waa" like Spencer (OMG) nor does he seek revenge towards 21 year old girls on his myspace page. He doesn't stage his own fake photo shots nor does he call a radio station to say he held up a hose to his parents house in Santa Barbara while other people and real celebrities have had theirs burned to the ground and evacuated.

As far as similar behaviors. They were best friends for years and years. I've seen this kind of thing with girls who have been friends a long time too. They mimic eachother's movements.
I too, have no idea what Brody is or isn't up to as far as feelings for Lauren. He may very well be a wolf in sheep's clothing.
It would be disappointing though.
Brody's mother is one of the sweetest women you'd ever want to meet. Oddly, Lauren is somewhat like her in her younger days.

I feel like I have to say something about the whole Brody and LC situation. I don't think that anyone knows what Brody's true feelings for Lauren are? The only thing I can say is that they have tons of chemistry and usually people cannot fake that. I think that Brody gets a lot of crap because of his association with spencer in the past. IMO two people can be friends without having the same personality. The common things I think between Brody and spencer was that they knew each other for a long time and both liked to go out and have a good time. I dont think that Brody is like spencer at all. I mean some of stunts that spencer pulls, we have never seen from Brody. Plus, in interviews they are completely different... Brody got a lots of negativity because of that detail mag article... but if you read it most of the stupids quotes were spencer. In fact, Brody said nothing harmful but he just seemed to be rolling with the punches. The Brody that I have come to know on the hills seems fun, thoughtful and totally likeable. I am going to see him that way until he does something to make me see him otherwise.

I think Brody and Lc like hooking up and maybe she wants a relationship, but I don't think he does, I'm not denying that he cares about her and is attracted to her, but at the same time he wants to be famous and it bugs me how he pops in and out of her life when the Hills is filming. I wish Lauren would find a guy who’s nice, normal, and I don’t know, actually works or does something with his life. As much as she says that’s what she wants, its telling that she keeps ending up with these famewhores living off their parents money and whatever small notoriety they have while blowing off every normal guy because he’s “boring”. I’m not saying that Gavin was the guy, but I don’t see how that date was boring compared to her first date with Brody (which consisted of “your smile’s pretty” “really?”). I agree that Brody’s attractive (although I thought Gavin was better looking), but man, there’s just no substance there.
I know I’ll probably be bashed for this, but it’s really making me start to wonder about Lauren. Her eyes always seem so glazed over if someone’s not talking about her, her friends (or enemies), or make-up or something. I know that’s what the show focuses on; but still, every time someone starts up a conversation about something else, she looks soooo bored. I hate to think that she’s inheritably dumb or shallow, but maybe she’s been in that kind of environment for too long.
And don’t get me wrong - I’m a pop culture junkie and I like fashion/beauty. I’m not above talking about any of this stuff, but the difference is that I find other things interesting, too. I’m just starting to notice a pattern where the “good” dates are ones where the guy basically just compliments her (Brody, Jason) and the “bad” ones are where the guy actually tries to make real conversation.
^I disagree. Again MTV does a horrible editing job and we may never get to see what actually goes down on her dates. But one thing's for sure though, is that she has great chemistry with both Jason and Brody. It's undeniable. And that's the main reason why she was naturally attracted to them.
Brody asked Lauren why she was home so early from her date so it was definitely the same night. I agree that time probably passed and she took off the nail polish - perhaps she didn't like the color?

I agree that we do not get to see all her dates but based on what we see anyone can make a point that LC is pretty vapid and cares only about the superficial things in life. All the guy that she has given second chances to including stephen, jason, and Brody basically compliments her all the time and never really have any real conversation with them. For example, Stephen "hottie with the body", Jason "you are like the cutest thing" and of course Brody " beautiful smile, hair, everything" are the type of guys she seems to like. Whereas, the 40 cent shirt guy and Gavin tried to at least initiate some type of conversation but were flately rejected. I dunno if they were the "ONE" but come on... it does say something about our beloved LC. I still love her though!!!

Interesting post BUT I have a few issues with it.
Brody is 21 years old, a man, and he is totally responsible for his own actions. By sitting back with Spencer during the details magazine article and not speaking up to indicate otherwise, his actiuons imply he is a coconspirator with Spencer and totally OK with all that was said and done.
I'm sorry but he doesn't get a free pass on that one.
If my best friend were talking trash about something I disagreed with, I would speak up.
Brody had every chance to deflect or disagree with what was being said but the simple fact is he didn't.
I also find it hilarious that first you blame Spencer for his behavior (details) and then drag Kristin into it (with Nicole). Hello! Once again, Brody is a grown man. He's not a spineless jellyfish. He is responsible for all the good and bad decisions he makes in his life.

4:27 I think you may be taking Lauren's dates on this show a little too seriously. First of all, who is going to act normal on a first date with someone new while being filmed? Personally, I think LC is nuts to even agree to be filmed on first dates but I guess it's the price she pays.

She can't say anything about her friends or family that's negative because they'll see it on TV and scream at her. lol
Unfortunately, because she is on a hit show is currently a magnet for famewhores (Brody).
Once the show ends she will hopefully get her normal life back, meet some normal guys, not be filmed while eating salmon and the fw's will go bother someone else.
Kristin has been a social climber since LB. First with Steven, then when she gets attention from Matt Leinert, she goes for Leinert. Then there was Brody, then Nick Lachey, and Nick Zano. In between she was also linked to that hockey player and the MTV vj Damien. She would bang anyone for fame!!
