Tuesday, November 06, 2007 || Heidi Turns 21 and Still Loves Spencer
Sorry this is so late but I couldn't get on the internet last night or this morning.
What does a young, fun reality star do when she turns 21? Judging by Heidi Montag on Monday night's episode of The Hills, she has a mature dinner with her fiancé filled with awkward pauses.
Yes, despite Heidi's best efforts to convince us that her quiet dinner with said betrothed, Spencer Pratt, was all she really wanted on such a momentous occasion ("I'm with the love of my life, this is so much easier [than a party]," she says), we aren't quite sure we can believe her.
While we covet the brand new Chanel purse that Pratt got his lady (have you ever heard Heidi say, "I love you" so many times?), it ain't a 21st birthday unless drinks are being tallied!
Luckily, at least the other Hills girls were out having fun.
Lauren Conrad and her Teen Vogue co-worker Whitney Port put on a huge fashion show for the magazine, moving stars through a crowded red carpet and seating them in just minutes. Even a late Hillary Duff doesn't break their stride, as they hold the show for her dramatic arrival, and then start it as soon as she sits her tiny butt down. Best of all? The night wins them the approval of their demanding editor, Lisa Love.
Meanwhile, at the Viper Room on Sunset, Audrina Patridge and semi-boyfriend Justin Bobby go to see The Ruse play so she can scout them for Epic. At an after-party, one of the band members tries to put the moves on our 'Drina, and gets shut down by a protective JB who tells the guy "she's pretty good." This apparently translates to "hands off my woman," because before we know it, the Ruse man looks crestfallen, and JB and Audrina leave the bar together.
Next week: Lauren tells Heidi: "I want to forgive you, and I want to forget you." Ouch.

sure quie b-day dinner....heidi had her 21st birhday party at le deux where she "sang" her song to her guest.
I thought it was depressing that Heidi had no one to help her celebrate her 21st birthday except Spencer. He's her whole world.
Really like this episode a lot. It's great to see more of Lauren/Whitney in their work environment. Loved the Marc Jacobs show! Also very cool that MTV is filming Audrina in the music scene as she has said in interviews how much she loves music.
What is getting totally unbearable is watching Heidi and Spencer. These 2 lie so much that it's hard to know where the lies begin and end. Did you notice the scene where Heidi goes to lunch with her "coworker"? She says she's going to order a glass of wine because she's 21 and it will be her "first time". Seriously?????? What were all those cocktails you were drinking for the last 2 seasons at Area and Les Deux, Shirley Temples?? And obviously she had a 21st party, of course nobody went, but hey....but what was all that BS about having a low-key B-Day? They claim the show isn't scripted, so why lie?? I just wish if they are going to act, why not do a Thelma and Louise ending and drive off a cliff so we never have to see them again?!
Heidi had two B-day party. Her first party was at LAX in vegas where she sang Higher. It was attended by her sister, Holly, spencer, Perez Hilton and Nick Cannon made an appearance. There are videos of her singing higher on the internet at the party. This party was in vegas and it was not taped by MTV. She had a party in Los Angelos at some restaurant with just her and Spencer. The thing is one can blame MTV for editing all they want but it is still speidi who gives them the footage. LC had 5 party for her 21st. However, only one was taped for the hills and she had plenty of friends there. Heidi and Spencer could have invited other people to this dinner to make them look like they have friends. The dinner party in LA can be seen on TMZ even though they are wearing the same clothes it is a different night than her party in vegas.
Justin Bobby is such an idiot. I hate watching him. Why does Audrina like such a loser. He is so boring to watch. Grrrrr. I would rather watch Speidi then him.
Well Audrina does like him, and that's what matters.
nick cannon came to her party in vegas, by accident, he stayed for a little bit to see what was going on. but left.
I agree with you on Justin Bobby. Another guy asks if he can date Audrina and Justin Bobby's response is a mere, "She's good"? What the hell was that? Is it just me or would most of us expect a more assertive response to that? I get the whole peace, love, and zen persona he gives off, but come on! He couldn't put himself into the equation by saying, "Listen, she's with me"?
this week's episode was not bad..i enjoyed seeing all the famous faces at the young hollywood party.
However..i missed Brody. The shows more entertaining with him

Any episode that deals with the girls working I tend to really enjoy. Thus, I liked this episode... last week was a bit better but this one is good.
LC/Whit- I thought the girls did a good job running the event. Lauren looked quite competent helping the models backstage. Whit is going to have to be more assertive if she is going to be a force in the fashion industry. I love the clothes in the fashion show. Lisa Love was actually not that intimidating last night.
Speidi- poor Heidi. I kinda feel sorry for her last night. Her party in LA consisted of her and spencer. Even the one in vegas only had her sister, perez and nick. I am sure she misses her friends. Spencer continues to be annoying, why was he texting during her dinner? How rude!!!
Audrina/ JBOB- In the immortal words of Lo "justin is a loser, whatever". I mean what is he implying when he keeps stating that "she's pretty good" Is he rating her skills because that is gross or is he stating that she has a man. Anyhoo, he needs a shower and a shampoo to wash his hair. Audrina can do so much better than this fool.
I miss Brody. The episode just was not the same with out him and LC cuddling.
I also miss Lo.
Heidi said that was her favorite gift she's ever gotten...So whatever happened to the chihuahua puppy that Jordan got her for Christmas???

did anybody seen The Green Mile? i saw it for the first time this weekend, and i noticed that Percy (the bad prisonguard)looked a little like Spencer. Expresions in his face and stuff.

I like the last episodes. Did anyone see the lady laughing her ass off at Heidi when she received the chanel purse from spencer? That was such a great Hills moment.
Justin Bobby is like Jason Wahler. I think he is doing coke (remember when he left Audrina to go to the bathroom)? It reminded me of Jason B-day on Hills season 1 when Jason kept leaving LC to do cocaine with his drug dealer. Both Jason and JBob are weird around people and has problems expressing themselves.
LC and Whitney both looked great at the young hollywood party and did a great job.
This show is getting so scripted! I bet next week Lauren and Heidi will reconcile, and by the end of the season, they'll be best friends again. Of course Heidi and Spencer will break up for awhile too.
