Thursday, November 01, 2007 || WTF? The Hills Is Casting for Speidi's Wedding
Okay, I know I shouldn't be shocked at this point that The Hills may not be totally real. By now we've heard umpteen stories that point out its fakeness, including the allegations that Heidi may not even work for Bolthouse any more.
But producers wouldn't resort to scripting a freaking wedding, right?!
Wrong.
Sources close to the show tell me that producers are currently in the process of casting "key roles" for Spencer and Heidi's upcoming wedding. We're hearing that Roxy Olin (daughter of Brothers & Sisters' Ken Olin and Patricia Wettig), whom you'll remember as Jason Lewis' girlfriend on B&S, has been "cast" as Heidi's Maid of Honor!
I know! Lunacy!
This appears to mean either (a) our beloved Speidi have no real friends to take part in the ceremony, (b) producers want to control the look and drama and script of the wedding or (c) more than just the I do's are gonna be scripted at this wedding!
Or perhaps some kind of combination of all of the above?

Ridiculous!! I love the Hills but if MTV keeps this crap up The Hills is just going to go downhill. I'm interested in Heidi but only on her own. When you add Spencer and all the fake story lines to the mix - there's no point watching. Honestly, ever since Spencer & Brody appeared on "the scene" there has been this slick fakeness added to the Hills that was never there before!!

^^ I agree. The show hasn't been the same since season one. I hated season two and season three is just so fake, not worth watching anymore.
What happened to the fake breakup first? Or are they planning on having some staged crashing of the wedding?

i have a hard time believing this. i know heidi and spencer are pretty sad, but not THIS sad. and if the hills really is casting for the "wedding," then, wow. they better stop promoting it as a reality show. that new scripted drama kaya on mtv seems more realistic than the hills these days.

i feel like speidi is trying to bring down the show since they know they won't be on if there is another season. it's like they want to be able to brag that the show is done because of them. i think it would be so much better if producers would stop cutting stories to show them do nothing of relevance.
