Wednesday, March 19, 2008 || Lauren: How Audrina and Brody Betrayed Me
For Lauren Conrad, betrayal has been a fact of life.
"I want to say I can always trust my good friends that I've had forever, but at the same time, some of my oldest friends have betrayed me," the Hills star reveals in the latest issue of Us Weekly, on newsstands now.
For the first time, Conrad opens up to Us in an exclusive interview about how ex Brody Jenner went public with a new girlfriend just days after she left for Paris while best friend Audrina Patridge buried the hatchet with Conrad's ex-BFF, Heidi Montag.
"At this point, I have to question every person that wants to have a relationship with me, whether it's a friendship or a romantic relationship," she tells Us.
The latest betrayals have been especially difficult for Conrad, who battled sex-tape rumors allegedly spread by Montag and caught one-time beau Jason Wahler in a liplock with another girl.
"Audrina has to remind me that she's not someone who's going to betray me," Conrad, 22, says pointedly.
As for Jenner's rebound, she says, "When you have that type of thing, you always have to question, 'Why wasn't I good enough?'"
"It's disappointing to have to question relationships," she adds.

This girl has a pity party every other week. For God's sake, she needs to grow up and realize that just because she doesn't like someone doesn't mean her friends have to share the dislike! She's beginning to portray herself as a spoiled little brat who thinks this is her world and everyone else is just passing thru!! Honestly, I had always been somewhat Team Lauren until this last year. Gosh, what a big baby!!!!
Blah blah, just move on Lauren, you should know by now who your real friends are.
She is dumb for not realizing who her real friends are after the Heidi Fiasco. But I'm glad she knows now, now she should move on.

Oh please!!! This is ridiculous. Lauren and Audrina are still friends. Lauren still refers to Audrina as one of her best friends and she moved in with her. Come on, this is all publicity for the new season. Think about it, why all of a sudden would this cover come out just days before the hills starts again?!?

ughh the people on the hills have their own reality show, is it really necessary that have interviews with US weekly almost every week? i feel like it constantly has interviews with heidi, spencer, lauren, or audrina. do they ever want to keep some things to themselves?

--about that^ comment...when I read that I immediately thought, what a moron for making it about LAUREN... Why can't Audrina have friends of her own? Why didn't this person say "audrina's exbest friend whom she's made up with" instead of seeing every little thing as it pertains to LAUREN. The world does not revolve around her. Other people are allowed to decide their own friends, and boyfriends I might add.
I hate it when Lauren gets all weird and possessive and controlling. Otherwise, she could be a pretty nice girl.
I dont think for a sec that Audrina and Heidi are friends except maybe for filming purposes because we never see them hanging out. However, if that is the case then Lauren has every right to distrust Audrina because all Heidi ever does is bad mouth Lauren all over the media.
I don't think Audrina and Heidi's friendship is real, any more than Heidi and Spencer's "breakup" is real. Remember, the problems between the two of them were actually caused by Spencer, they had nothing to do with Lauren.

There is footage of Brody from September 10 on TMZ getting into a car with three sluts. I find it hard to believe that Lauren would not be aware that he just wants camera time but spend his nights with hookers. Hello! Lauren needs to wake up and smell the coffee because she appears ridiculous. Brody only thinks about himself... he claims to have a gf but we only see him flirting with other girls at clubs, kristin, lindsey. She needs to move on to more pressing issues like finding a good guy for her and eye candy for us.
God, I hope this interview is fake and just for the show. Even though it'd be completely lame to have some sort of fake life for the sake of ratings, it's better than being a complete drama queen who thinks the world revolves around them.
1) Heidi betrayed her. The sex tape thing - that's a really awful thing to do to someone. I will give her that one.
2) Brody's not her ex - they've never shown to be more than casual daters. She looks like a complete idiot by what she expected of him. They'd been hooking up for what - a year? If he hasn't made a commitment, he's just not that into you! Yeah it hurts, but get some dignity girl and don't go whining to magazines.
3) I don't think Audrina should have invited Heidi over to their apartment knowing their history, at least not before checking with Lauren. That said, it shouldn't be this big of a deal. If Lauren wasn't there, who cares as long as they weren't searching for sex tapes? The whole "Audrina has to remind me that she's not someone who's going to betray me" is ridiculous. If I were Audrina, I'd probably rather be friends with Heidi if that's how it's going to be.
I wonder who she's talking about when she says "oldest friends". Jen Bunney? I thought she buried the hatchet with her. Anyway, Lauren's played the victim in the past no doubt. But this is too much and I think it might really backfire on her.
first let me just say i love lauren but i hate these us weekly articles - be it on lauren's end or speidi's. i would much rather have see lauren take the high road and not address any of this "crap", yes we all know brody is a tool (who didn't see that coming) but to talk about it just seems silly at this point and yes a bit like sour grapes too. not all publicity is good publicity...

This is lamer than Heidi's cover because LC is supposed to be above this shit. Heck, what happened to the lovely girl that charmed letterman on the late show. This cover of usweekly show her to be just as much as a vapid famewhore as speidi and pathetic about the whole brody situation. Brody only thinks about his dick and screen time.

The thing is that LC has a pretty great life. Her show is a hit, and it is not seen as trashy reality tv but a scripted reality show. She bought a 2.5 million dollars mansion, she debut her clothing line that is selling out, she hosts parties for thousands of dollars and have endorsement with mark, linea pella and now some contact company. She is always surrounded with friends and family and always linked or seen dating some guy. Yet, all she does is whine. If Audrina wants to be friends with Heidi let her, just modify your own friendship with her since she is closer to Lo now. As for Brody he probably is infected with more STDs than doctors know so be happy you did not catch anything and forget about the loser.

Do you guys actually beleive this nonsense? These are tabloids. They twist and turn around everything that it said. And why now do they put this up, because the show is starting in a couple of days. And isn't this the same magazine that Heidi was on saying she was betrayed by Spencer?!? Hmm and what do you know, they are still together as fake as can be.
^ I agree. To me it sounds kinda like a recap to prepare us for Monday's episode and what to expect in this third season. It's a publicity stunt in my eyes because on other shows and in mags she has said she doesnt care and seems like she's over it, like on Letterman.
But the people/ fans just love the drama so they keep providing it. Just look at what this one article did already. (good or bad I think it worked, got people talking)
