Lauren Conrad had wanted shorter hair, so she decided to cut it all off for a change.
"Bets were going on how long I would be able to go with short hair!" she tells Usmagazine.com.
Her short do didn't last long.
She showed off her extensions at the Warren Tricomi Salon & Redken launch party Wednesday in L.A.
"I had separation anxiety — I missed my hair!" she tells Us. "I don't feel girly without long hair!
"There is something so sexy about have long blonde hair," she adds. "It's so feminine." (See more celeb lock looks here.)
Conrad — who was honored at Us' Hot Hollywood bash — has also changed her mind on her fashion this season.
She says she used to favor 1920s-style dresses "that just kinda hang on the body."
This season, she's into full skirts.
"It’s all about the waist for me .... they really emphasize the waist and flatter so many body shapes," she says. "Very beautiful.
"They look really great on everyone," she adds. "Prada is doing a bunch of them — it’s almost like a 1950s silhouette. "
The reality star-turned-designer — who debuted her collection during L.A. Fashion Week in March — told Us she is already at work on her holiday, resort and spring lines.
"It's crazy," she said, "I’m already working on another one!"

i thought she looked good with short hair too.
i loved her short hair too - it showed off her pretty face, i kind of think he sort of hides behind the long hair when she has it if that makes any sense..
I also liked the short hair. It was a nice change for her.
I like her hair both ways. I actually thought she should have tried a little shorter, more like a bob. Her hair was cute, but it was kind of that middle length - which looks good, but it's not going to get that "wow" reaction.
The long hair hang-up seems to be a California thing - almost everyone had long hair on Laguna Beach/Newport Harbor and a lot of them had like, super-long hair. But her haircut was still kind of long so I'm surprised she was so uncomfortable with it.
I liked her short hair, but I really love her long hair. It makes her look younger -- which she doesn't really need -- but still, she has beautiful color to her locks and the length looks nice. I wish I had enough patience w/my hair to grow it long!!
Lauren look in the mirror, you don't have blonde hair.
I think a lot of people call that color blonde (as in dark blonde). Although I wouldn't argue with anyone who called it light brown either.
Whatever you call it, I think its a good color for her. I thought the lighter color that she had sported a few years ago was really unflattering on her.

It's blonde. It's just not platinum/bleached blonde. I cut my hair in December to my shoulders and am definitely letting it grow back. I feel older and not as pretty w/ shorter hair. Our lengths were about the same. Wish I could get the extensions she did! Glad she's going for a fuller skirt; I think that look is more flattering and forgiving for most people.
