The Laguna Beach bum turned Hills dweller is currently shopping plans for his own relationship-themed reality show to various networks, his rep tells E! News.
The show, to be called 22 and Taken, will track Wahler and fiancée Katja Decker-Sadowski "and their close circle of friends as they prepare for their eventual wedding," rep Siri Garber said.
But rumors that VH1 has already snagged the show for its prime-time lineup, Wahler is still taking part in the pitch process.
"He came up with this when the strike was going on," Garber said. "So really there was only a market for reality when it came up."
And Wahler, who has also expressed an interest to try his hand at scripted acting, apparently has decided to stick with what he knows for the time being—not including the arrests, court dates and jail time.
He proposed to Decker-Sadowski, a tennis player at USC, in August, sweetening the deal with a 4-carat emerald-cut diamond. (Attached to a ring.)
And as the travails of Heidi, Spencer, Whitney, Audrina and L.C. continue to make the mothership (itself a spinoff, of course) one of the most-watched shows on MTV, with a series-high 4.4 million checking out The Hills' return Monday after a four-month hiatus, Wahler isn't the only one looking for a cut of the action.
Lauren Conrad's sometime-beau Brody Jenner is currently in talks with MTV to get his own slice of the reality-TV pie, according to his rep, who tells People Jenner's best bud Frankie Delgado will also be along for the ride.
So what happens when the cameras from Keeping Up with the Kardashians, starring Jenner's stepsisters Kim and Kourtney, collide with those following Jenner around on a daily basis?
Throw in the lensmen trailing Wahler, add a Hollywood pied-à-terre, simmer and stir—and you've got yourself a fourth show, Jenneral Hospital.
