Wednesday, July 16, 2008 || Lo "Lounging by the Pool" Since Getting Degree
College grads who haven't landed a job yet — don't fret.
Neither has Hills star Lauren "Lo" Bosworth, who graduated with an art history degree from UCLA in June.
"I have just been hanging out by the pool," she told Usmagazine.com over the weekend at the Intermix VH1 Rock Honors Exclusive VIP Party in Los Angeles.
Her dream job?
"I would love to get my own style show or something like that," she said.
She didn't just nab a degree at UCLA — she also found a guy, whom she declined to name.
But she said he won't be appearing on the new season of The Hills when it debuts in August.
"Being on the show conflicts with his job," she said. "He works in finance."
Although many pigeonholed her as the villain last season, she said, "I think I will be redeemed this season. We are all getting along!"
Indeed.
Audrina Patridge and Lauren Conrad shot down reports over the weekend that Patridge had moved out.
"There are rumors all the time," Patridge said. "I just laugh!"

Ugh...why am I not surprised? At least the other girls pretend to have jobs. Lo’s just happy being a worthless human being.
Don’t get me wrong - I didn’t land a full-time job until 8 months after I graduated (although I graduated in December, really the job market is the best in the summer at least where I live). But I was applying for positions constantly and interviewing quite a bit - plus I took up a part-time job delivering food just so I was at least doing something in the mean time. I’m not saying she should have a job at this time, but I would think she’d be trying. Lo’s just waiting for her style show to come around (and I’m sorry girl, but it’s not gonna happen) and famewhoring it up any chance she gets.
Wait, I guess “professional famewhore” is her new career. She’s just like those stupid RW/RR people.

If she was a famewhore she would of attached herself to Lauren from the beggining just like Heidi did!
but no she went and did her own thing and once she was almost done with school she started to hang with her old friends again!! Let her be! She has a degree and finish done with her college..none of the girls from the hills can say they have a degree!!
Whoa...just my opinion dude. Also, I'm pretty sure Whitney has a degree.
And IMO people don't "deserve" to just lay around after completing college...that's completely out of touch. It'd be one thing if she was traveling or something, but she's just hanging out, clubbing, and shopping - how lazy is that? I mean, its great she graduated but so did about a million other people so spare me this whole working so hard for 4 years stuff.
I think what bugs is the attitude - she really does remind me of the RW/RR people who go on the show with a degree and then spend the next 5 years banking on challenges, bar tours, and college speaking engagements supposedly about alcohol/weight/etc issues but really boil down to gossiping about castmates. These people are wastes of space IMO.
I have no idea how her college experience went but I know when I was in school I never really had a summer or winter break because I was working so once I graduated I took the summer off before looking for work.
I guess it really just depends on the people, I dont think there is anything wrong with taking a break.

i totally agree with you. I think part of it was the way she said it as well. It just smacks of entitlement. And sorry there are many of us who went to college for 4 years without a break and having a part time job at the same time! It's called real life!
Yeah, but if she has the means to be able to afford to take a break, I say go for it. I'd love to be able to afford to take a break, but right now I'm trying to pay for school, so I'm working full time in the summer. I can't afford to take more than a weekend off, but if I had the money to do so I'd take a vacation in a second!

no reason to be jealous that she's taking a break. i'm sure she's got extra money! I think she deserves it, especially if she's not struggling with her finances.
I'm not against taking a break, but take advantage of it. Take the time to travel or experience something different. Even working full-time you can still hang out by the pool and go shopping - just not 7 days a week. But getting to travel (the way you want to) is a lot harder. IDK - it just strikes me as being really lazy.
maybe she's taking advantage in just relaxing! i mean, if you wanna stay busy all the time, do it. but there are people who actually enjoy life & live & not just work all the time. keep it easy! you kinda sound really jalous to me.......
I think the point is she seems to have no plan. I agree she's taking advantage of just relaxing, which is fine to a certain extent, but when does it become simply being lazy?
And while I might be jealous of her money or even looks to a certain extent, I'm definetely not jealous of her spending her days laying out by the pool. I like a relaxing vacation now and then, but I guess maybe I need to be more mentally challenged.
