Audrina Patridge and Ashlee Simpson have more in common than fame. They also shared a lover.
In the Sept. 1 issue of Star, on sale now, we report that before Audrina became the resident vixen on The Hills, she used her charms to catch the eye of pop star Ryan Cabrera — while he was dating Ashlee!
After a brief split, Ryan had reunited with Ashlee when he first met Audrina in Los Angeles in September 2005. "Ryan can act kind of shy and reserved on the outside, but he's actually quite the ladies' man, and he and Audrina really hit it off," a friend tells Star. "I don't think he ever mentioned Ashlee to her — and I don't think Audrina ever asked!"
Ryan started calling and texting Audrina and it wasn't long before he was giving her a tour of his million dollar home while his buddies partied elsewhere in the house. The next morning, one of his guests opened Ryan's bedroom door and "found him and Audrina dead asleep, lying next to each other in bed, with the covers barely covering their naked bodies!"

there is no way in hell this is true, audrina likes bad boys & ryan is total geeky mama's boy. Does Star magazine ever get things right?
Um, its totally true. Audrina and every other Hills member are celeb-f*ckers. Sorry to break it to you... like every other girl in LA, they are looking for the next big thing/boy. SHE DID hook-up with Cabrera and a couple others. Audrina is a celebrity slut. Ask anyone who knows Hollywood.
Keep in mind in any celebrity's mind these ladies are totally D-list. So they take what they can get: Justin Bobby, Ryan Cabrera, Brody Jenner, Doug (baseball player), and that guy from My Boys.
Totally a D-list of men, too.
i don't believe it either. audrina's not hard up - i find it hard pressed to believe she'd go near ryan. he's so not her type. she likes rocker dudes not boy band dudes. if she was just into dating whoever she would have hooked up with one of brody's friends.
