If you've ever watched The City and wondered whether Whitney Port and Olivia Palermo are actually sitting at their desks all day at Diane von Furstenberg and slaving away, well, it looks like The Daily may have finally put the matter to rest.
They simply called up DVF's offices and asked to speak to her:
1/26: We call the DVF studio. A receptionist says Whitney's not in; takes a message. An email to w.port@dvf.com goes unanswered.
1/27: We call and are told she's at x661. No answer. A voicemail message makes no mention of Whit.
1/28: We call and ask to be transferred directly to x661. "Natalie's not at her desk," replies the receptionist. Who?!
1/30: Last try: "Whitney stepped away from her desk, would you like her voicemail?" What's her extension? "661." We leave a message.
OK, DUH, everyone knows Whitney doesn't work at DVF. She didn't even really work at People's Revolution, and neither does Lauren--their salaries are nearing $100,000 per episode; of course they're not working desk jobs! That being said, the fact that they called the offices throughout the week was a clever plan. And while The City and The Hills are more fake than Heidi's boobs, I'm still a hopeless addict!
Well if these girls have fake jobs, then there is no way that you can call this a reality show. I'm sure the City doesn't even show even a percent of what Whitney's life is really like.
Whitney is in LA every other weekend it seems. Shes also taking vacation in MIA, who does this when they just got a job for less than 6 months. Whitney only films there for show, her job is the city and her fashion line.
"New City, New Drama"
The Hills (Season 1) | Ep. 101 Plot: Lauren and Heidi move into their new place to start their new lives in The Hills. But the girls begin to drift apart when Lauren's new found responsibility towards school and work clashes with Heidi's partying, drama filled lifestyle. Download || Watch Online

OK she doesn't work there, 8:45 AM. How dense can you possibly be?

People needs to get over the fact that all these girls have fake jobs.

It's obvious these ladies don't really work for these companies, but it was still funny that they tried calling her.
Olivia annoys the heck out of me cuz she tries so hard to act like Blair Waldorf from Gossip Girl... she should STOP IT cuz it's obnoxious.
