"Reality?TV, as in a show like The Hills? I don't think I could do it," Lauren confessed at Barbie's 50th birthday bash in Malibu. "Never say never, but at this point I think I'm ready to step away and do my own thing."
She just finished filming last week, but said she's been as busy as ever since cameras stopped rolling.
So what will she miss least about doing the hit MTV show...and will her roomie Lo Bosworth be leaving the show, too?
While L.C. says she'll miss the crew she worked with, she won't miss the constant camera presence.
"I get a little bit more privacy back and?be able?to make mistakes and not have to deal with the repercussions of my decisions [on-camera]," she said. "I'm going to keep a few things to myself."
Like her relationship with boyfriend Kyle Howard?
"You're making me blush! He's very sweet," she answered, when asked about her favorite thing regarding her actor beau. "He's a good guy."
Lo said she'll?still be a part of The Hills, but?they won't?be filming in the new Westwood apartment they just moved to.
"We don't want Star Tours to come by anymore!" Lo explained of the decision.
And, at least for last night, L.C. and Lo seemed to enjoy not having cameras on them as they took shots and sipped white wine at the party.

Hmmmm I think she better re think that. After she leaves the hills she will lose her fan base for her clothing line and no one will be interested in her books. She may need the money after what she has earned runs out and it will eventually.
She's so cute, I hope she does some segments for House of Style. She will be great on that kind of a show.
You are so right 4;43. If she does some kind of hosting gig, it would not be cameras around 24/7 and would be a steady paycheck and keep her in the limelight so to speak.
IT said they were living in an apartment now. That's interesting. I wonder if MTV rented that house for them.It seems unlikely someone would buy a house and sellit within a years time. Almost unheard of.Why not buy another house in a more secluded area if the reason is really about tour groups. Fishy.
^I actually buy it. She probably wants to be closer to the action rather than in a secluded area. I don't think she was old/mature enough to be buying and taking care of a house anyway. She's young so I just chalk it up to an expensive mistake.
And I'm all about her hosting a style show. I'm not sure how well her clothing line is going to do without something else keeping her out there and I don't see her going anywhere other than bit parts in stupid movies as far as acting.
So I'm confused - are they going to keep doing the Hills without Lauren? It says Lo is going to keep doing it?
It Lauren leaves I'm not watching. Lo presence can't save the Hills.
