Kristin will be hosting a reality show on UPN called "Get This Party Started".UPN (like MTV, a Viacom network) announced today that Laguna teen Kristin Cavallari will co-host Get This Party Started, a new reality show that the network will premiere in January.
Sounding like a concept that would have been called Extreme Makeover: Party Edition if it was being produced by Extreme Makeover's Endemol production company, each episode of Get This Party Started will feature an elite team of Hollywood party planners working with a well-deserving person's friends and family to surprise them with a "very spectacular and extravagant event" held in their honor.

Pathetic. This show looks to be as long lived as The Princes of Malibu. Just another example of the lengths Kristin will go to to keep her hilarious 15-mins of fame alive. And so much for her wanting to branch out and remove herself from reality tv with her big "acting" career.
That sounds awful. Getting famous on Laguna Beach was the worst thing that ever happened to these kids. They could have gone to college, gotten good jobs and lead normal lives but instead they're making asses of themselves trying to hold onto their fame.

I'm not really surprised... I think all of us were expecting Kristin to book some sort of TV thing sooner or later. Like her or not (I think she's kind of bitchy myself), she has the sort of personality that's perfect for TV - really catty and full-of-herself, but also pretty, energetic, and entertaining. We'll see how the show turns out - UPN doesn't usually have many hits, but America's Top Model was really successful. I know I'm going to watch the first episode of this and The Hills just out of curiosity. I wonder if LC, Kristin, Talan, or anyone else from LB really has star power? I guess time will tell...

I don't love Kristin, but who cares she got a job. As for LC good for her. Her show will help her career which is not as an actress but a designer. An internship with Conde Nast is priceless and definitely help her in the long run!
I just heard some gossip that doesn't necessarily relate to this particular topic...a friend of mine recently (a few weeks ago) spotted Jason at the W Hotel in Westwood making out with a couple of different girls. This doesn't necessarily mean that he's not with LC, but I'm tempted to think that they're not together. I don't think he'd pull another one after what happened because news travels fast in LA...

If you would listen to each other then you would realize that everyone has their opinions and there's really no point in trying to say Kristin or "LC" is better. They are both lovely girls that bring different things to the table. While Lauren is more passive-aggressive, sweet, mature, even-tempered...Kristin is more outgoing, more quick-tempered, honest, yet very childish. Its not fair to judge anyone based of a reality T.V show. You know you'd hate if if everyone was to talk trash about you. Just be chill and enjoy that their lives have changed more than you'll ever understand. Besides...Kristin's boyrfriend, Brody's mom, probably didn't get her the "job". She more than likely signed on herself concidering now that Laguna Beach is over, they are to promote themselves. About the show of Kristin:
I think she made a very smart deal. Fans of her will watch the show on UPN. But REMEMBER that programs like 'Extreme Home Makeover' are very popular. Everyone knows that show and then I am not talking about teenagers, but also adults, grannies and so on. Kristin has a very good personality to host a show like this. The result is that more people will know who Kristin Cavallari is than people know who Lauren Conrad is, with all the respect to Lauren.
About the show of Lauren:
I am a fashionaddict and that's why I think I am going to love the show. Lauren made a good deal by working with MTV on a spin-off show, so Laguna Beach fans still see the laguna-influences in the life of Lauren in LA.

Being in Lauren's and Kristin's shoes would be amazing. I'll be honest...I am jealous of the life they have, but I am perfectly okay with the Middle Class Midwestern life that I have. And heck yes I would take either one of those jobs at the mire age of 19 and 20. They're smart girls with different goals. Leave them alone. You've got nothing to prove.
The people that left the last couple comments are obvisiously more mature than those leaving comments about killing one another. At least they can see grey and not just black and white.
