regarding lauren being bland, I have gotten that impression from this season of the hills. unfortunately, kristin is often "interesting" for all the wrong reasons.
seriously, it's not like it would be difficult to make an itemized list of everything kristin's done that's morally questionable.
do I think lauren is a role model? no. do I think kristin is? certainly not. let's face it, they're both idiots. the advantage lauren has, in my opinion, is that she at least knows how to be polite and behave herself in a social setting. you can call it being "fake" all you want, but it's actually called being an adult. sorry, no one thinks the whole "keeping it real" bit is cute once you're over 18.

Lauren was modeling and Kristin had to be catty and say 'why would you ever wear that?' and Lauren's outfit was cute. and if you're talking about season 2, of course she was mean to Jessica because she kissed her boyfriend right infront of her! and she wasnt mean to Kristin during that fashion show

I know. I still watch this season even though I don't really like it. I just loved the old cast. This cast seems to try and act too dramatic. They are REALLY mean to each other. Like Kyndra and Cami flat out saying they did not want Tessa at the party either, even though she was originally invited! How rude is that...Rocky is my favorite, and really the only person I like. I agree though, I don't see what the big deal about Cameron is.. he will never be a Stephen. :-) haha. EVERY episode is pretty much a party! It makes it kind of boring.. idk. I think this season is suffering too because I always see commercials saying 'Laguna Beach, Wednesday nights at 10.' obviously theyre trying to get more people. It's finally starting to feel more real though, now that Rocky and Alex broke up.. he was a jerk about it. It seems like they're finally getting a story line of some sort! I wish they would bring back more from season 1 and 2
