They're not all staged. She has a photographer friend that takes pictures of her at events with her boyfriend so that when he sells them to the tabloids she can get a cut of the sale. It's actually really smart. I'm not sure why Lauren's fans are so upset about it.

These "deals" that Lauren has consist of...what? I mean, Raven Simone has a clothing line and she's not super rich. Kristin was the face of Bongo for a year. Bongo is an ACTUAL clothing company. Kristin gets paid to party. Lauren is a celebrity spokesgirl with a sex tape rumor, not Oprah Winfrey.
I thought the 2nd season sucked. If it wasn't for the Jessica and Jason drama, it was snoozefest. It only picked up towards the end, when the Lauren storyline was shown.
The second season had three times as many viewers as the first, and twice as many as the third. It averaged about a million more viewers a week than the Hills. hate it for you.

I don't think Kristin was responsible for the ratings on the second season of LB, just because she narrated. You dont even remember what happened with her, she was invisible. Everyone was following the Jason/Jessica/Lauren story. Sorry, Kristin can't take the credit for that at all.
