She was there for Lauren through EVERYTHING that Lauren went through ... leaving school in SF, Stephen picking Kristin over her, Jason kissing Jessica, drama with Jason in LA, everything. I think its for the best that they're not friends anymore and I agree neither was a good friend to the other. They each were selfish for their own reasons. I do think though that Heidi had some sort of ulterior motive of wanting to become famous. i wouldn't put that past her.
A lot of what you guys are posting isn't even true, it's just in order to be negative about Heidi. Lauren did like Spencer, she was totally supportive of their relationship at first even during the Audrina situation. She told Heidi, no one sees the way he looks at you and blah blah blah. I think Heidi was a good friend to Lauren and I think Lauren had potential to be a good friend to Heidi, we just didn't witness it. Also, Heidi had nothing to do with the ending of Lauren and Lo's friendship. Lo liked Heidi and probably still does. Bridget, why is that dumb assumption when Lauren was on LB1 already before she met Heidi at college? We don't know if Heidi watched the show and knew of Lauren's fame through MTV prior to meeting her. It was Heidi who first approached Lauren at school too, so I think that is a pretty valid assumption if you ask me. No one knows for sure what Heidi's real motives are, but aren't we all here speculating, posting our own opinions and making assumptions? Unless you know the real deal of the story, don't call other people's assumptions dumb considering you are here making your own assumptions and doing the same exact thing.
Well I'm not making assumptions, I know the real story. Laguna Beach Season One didn't start airing until late September of Lauren's freshmen year in college. Lauren and Heidi met the first day of classes their freshmen year which was in August. There were no cameras following Lauren because they stopped from August until December. Heidi was overseas for her senior year and the following summer so the only thing that she could have seen were commercials and even that is a stretch because I doubt she would have recognized Lauren from those anyways. I wasn't implying that you were dumb just that I find it very dumb for people to make negative assumptions about Heidi because Lauren is no longer friends with her. Heidi and Lauren were both in a strange city and both needed friends. Lauren's not that outgoing so it was a great thing that Heidi was. If you want to worry about someone having the wrong intentions, worry about Miss Audrina. She moved to LA to be an actress and singer, saw cameras filming Heidi, probably knew who Lauren was, desperately tried to be Heidi's BFF, and now is Lauren's BFF. That's a lot more shady than two lonely girls meeting at college. I hope Audrina is not using Lauren because if she is, it sucks for her. Her career has gone nowhere.
I never read that. I remember Lauren saying in one of those college campus interviews that no one filmed her at SF because the school wouldn't allow it. She said no one knew she was on a tv show until LB S1 aired several times and by then it was halfway through the semester. That makes more sense to me seeing as MTV never films fall semester. They started filming S1 in February of the Spring Semester and S2 two weeks before Christmas break.
J to the lo, i read that as well. I wish i remember where so i can post it here. And if we really want to continue this assumption, Heidi is the type of person who does follow the Hollywood scene or anything pop culture (i.e MTV), so chances are she would have some knowledge that Lauren is someone with fame. You never know.

I don't want to argue with anyone because I like both girls but I don't think that Heidi would have known who Lauren was pre the LB season one premiere, no one did. Say she did have cameras following her, Heidi still had no way of knowing the success that LB was going to have nor did she have any way of knowing what Lauren was being filmed for. I think that people are way too eager to jump on the Heidi is a bad person bandwagon. Lauren loved Heidi for three years, she's a smart girl so obviously Heidi isn't the spawn of Satan like some would like to believe. I think Lauren is shocked and hurt that Heidi choose Spencer over her. Audrina is much more suited to be Lauren's sidekick because I don't think she minds Lauren being the center of her universe, Heidi's much too independant for that. The way I look at it if both girls are happy without each other then why must we bash on in order to like another? They both made mistakes in their friendship, no one girl is to blame.
It doesn't matter if she didn't know if LB was going to blow up or not. If you see a chance for a good opportunity, you go for it, if you want it bad enough. I only think this of Heidi now based on how she is today. Right now, she is pursuing an acting and singing career. She's even gone as far as changing the way she looks. You don't mean to say that she's never had these aspirations before? You don't just wake up one day and want all of these thing all of a sudden. That's got to be something she's thought about before. Again, no one knows for sure and its only my assumption, but it makes you wonder what her true intentions were. I guess we'll never know.
Also, we can go on and on about who is the worst friend to the other and so on. I'm not jumping on any bandwagon, i could care less about that. My opinion is based on what Heidi did the last season of "The Hills". You see, I liked Heidi in the beginning. I stopped liking her after she pulled the whole Jen/Brody hookup thing. It was obvious she was encouraging Jenn, and then lied to Lauren about having no part of it. All she had to do was come clean, I mean, the whole thing was caught on film. In fact, there were several instances where she flat out lied while being filmed. I'd like to know how you justify that type behavior then? If Heidi is supposedly a good friend?
First of all the whole thing with Jenn was edited which is obvious because there are pictures of her and Lauren at Lauren's apartment after her birthday party. Besides that Lauren never even admitted to liking Brody and she was dating Chris from 24/7 in December when Jenn had her birthday party. On top of all that, Lauren had already put strain on her friendship with Heidi by being so ridiculous about Spencer whom had never personally done anything to her. You can blame Heidi for everything but it's just not how it went down. Both girls were shady to each other last season. I seriously doubt that Heidi had any clue who Lauren was, what LB was, or that she was going to become famous by being on MTV when she met Lauren. She was in San Francisco doing her own thing, they decided to move to LA together because they hated it. You are acting as if Heidi is some evil villian and had this master plan but it doesn't add up. Lauren was NOT famous when Heidi befriended her nor did Heidi have any way of knowing that she was going to be famous. They were just teenage girls who became friends and grew apart. It doesn't make one any better or worse than the other. Everyone acts as if Lauren gave Heidi this big break and she should be eternally grateful but that's not how it works. Lauren was offered her spot on MTV when they found out about her part in the Stephen/Kristin relationship and Heidi was offered her part when they found out she was moving to LA with Lauren. When did they decide to follow Lauren to LA? No one knows, maybe they decided after they realized Heidi was going to and they would have two main characters to focus on. Maybe Heidi helped Lauren land the show, we don't know that she didn't. I just think it's ridiculous to make Heidi out to be evil. She's obviously not. People have lots of friends in their lifetimes, they aren't always supposed to be lifelong friendships. They had a great run at it, they had fun together and hopefully they left their friendship with a mutual respect for each other. The Heidi bashing is just out of control, it's completely unecessary.

Heidi did not support Lauren in any way shape or form this season. In fact even though Lauren couldn't stand Spencer, pretty much from the start, she was happy that her friend was happy. I don't see how all of you are so blind. Heidi was obviously the better friend to Lauren. Lauren was never a good friend to Heidi. I never witnessed her being a good friend to anyone on The Hills or LB. She's very self centered. Even if you like her, you should be able to admit that. That's what kills me about Lauren fans, they refuse to acknowledge any of her flaws. I was a huge fan of Lauren in the early days but now I see the light, I love Heidi. She's not only beautiful but she has a great energy and is really an amazing person. I'm sure she'll be on S3 a lot seeing as she was the star of S2. I can't wait to see her!!

Heidi never did anything to Lauren. She was there for Lauren through EVERYTHING that Lauren went through ... leaving school in SF, Stephen picking Kristin over her, Jason kissing Jessica, drama with Jason in LA, everything. The tables change and Heidi wants to have her own life and Lauren can't tolerate that? WTF? Lauren is way too self absorbed. I'm amazed Heidi lasted as long as she did. I think its for the best that they're not friends anymore and I agree neither was a good friend to the other. They each were selfish for their own reasons. I do think though that Heidi had some sort of ulterior motive of wanting to become famous. i wouldn't put that past her.
A lot of what you guys are posting isn't even true, it's just in order to be negative about Heidi. Lauren did like Spencer, she was totally supportive of their relationship at first even during the Audrina situation. She told Heidi, no one sees the way he looks at you and blah blah blah. I think Heidi was a good friend to Lauren and I think Lauren had potential to be a good friend to Heidi, we just didn't witness it. Also, Heidi had nothing to do with the ending of Lauren and Lo's friendship. Lo liked Heidi and probably still does. It's fine to not like Heidi but don't make up negative things about her just to bash her, that's immature. I like her. I think she adds a much needed spunk to The Hills. I'm not a big fan of Audrina but as long as she stays a supporting character and we don't have to see her that much, I'm fine.
Heidi met Lauren before she was even famous so that's a rather dumb assumption. As for Bella, she gave her to two of Jenn's friends when she started traveling and working a lot. She didn't have time for her, this dog is Spencer's dog.
Bridget, why is that dumb assumption when Lauren was on LB1 already before she met Heidi at college? We don't know if Heidi watched the show and knew of Lauren's fame through MTV prior to meeting her. It was Heidi who first approached Lauren at school too, so I think that is a pretty valid assumption if you ask me. No one knows for sure what Heidi's real motives are, but aren't we all here speculating, posting our own opinions and making assumptions? Unless you know the real deal of the story, don't call other people's assumptions dumb considering you are here making your own assumptions and doing the same exact thing.
Well I'm not making assumptions, I know the real story. Laguna Beach Season One didn't start airing until late September of Lauren's freshmen year in college. Lauren and Heidi met the first day of classes their freshmen year which was in August. There were no cameras following Lauren because they stopped from August until December. Heidi was overseas for her senior year and the following summer so the only thing that she could have seen were commercials and even that is a stretch because I doubt she would have recognized Lauren from those anyways. I wasn't implying that you were dumb just that I find it very dumb for people to make negative assumptions about Heidi because Lauren is no longer friends with her. Heidi and Lauren were both in a strange city and both needed friends. Lauren's not that outgoing so it was a great thing that Heidi was. If you want to worry about someone having the wrong intentions, worry about Miss Audrina. She moved to LA to be an actress and singer, saw cameras filming Heidi, probably knew who Lauren was, desperately tried to be Heidi's BFF, and now is Lauren's BFF. That's a lot more shady than two lonely girls meeting at college. I hope Audrina is not using Lauren because if she is, it sucks for her. Her career has gone nowhere.

I never read that. I remember Lauren saying in one of those college campus interviews that no one filmed her at SF because the school wouldn't allow it. She said no one knew she was on a tv show until LB S1 aired several times and by then it was halfway through the semester. That makes more sense to me seeing as MTV never films fall semester. They started filming S1 in February of the Spring Semester and S2 two weeks before Christmas break.
J to the lo, i read that as well. I wish i remember where so i can post it here. And if we really want to continue this assumption, Heidi is the type of person who does follow the Hollywood scene or anything pop culture (i.e MTV), so chances are she would have some knowledge that Lauren is someone with fame. You never know.

^ I don't think she's moved on. All through The Hills Season 2, Lauren pouted and whined about Spencer. At some point, she needed to move on and stopped whining (hmm, whining - there seems to be a theme going on here).
I don't want to argue with anyone because I like both girls but I don't think that Heidi would have known who Lauren was pre the LB season one premiere, no one did. Say she did have cameras following her, Heidi still had no way of knowing the success that LB was going to have nor did she have any way of knowing what Lauren was being filmed for. I think that people are way too eager to jump on the Heidi is a bad person bandwagon. Lauren loved Heidi for three years, she's a smart girl so obviously Heidi isn't the spawn of Satan like some would like to believe. I think Lauren is shocked and hurt that Heidi choose Spencer over her. Audrina is much more suited to be Lauren's sidekick because I don't think she minds Lauren being the center of her universe, Heidi's much too independant for that. The way I look at it if both girls are happy without each other then why must we bash on in order to like another? They both made mistakes in their friendship, no one girl is to blame.
It doesn't matter if she didn't know if LB was going to blow up or not. If you see a chance for a good opportunity, you go for it, if you want it bad enough. I only think this of Heidi now based on how she is today. Right now, she is pursuing an acting and singing career. She's even gone as far as changing the way she looks. You don't mean to say that she's never had these aspirations before? You don't just wake up one day and want all of these thing all of a sudden. That's got to be something she's thought about before. Again, no one knows for sure and its only my assumption, but it makes you wonder what her true intentions were. I guess we'll never know.

My opinion is based on what Heidi did the last season of "The Hills". You see, I liked Heidi in the beginning. I stopped liking her after she pulled the whole Jen/Brody hookup thing. It was obvious she was encouraging Jenn, and then lied to Lauren about having no part of it. All she had to do was come clean, I mean, the whole thing was caught on film. In fact, there were several instances where she flat out lied while being filmed. I'd like to know how you justify that type behavior then? If Heidi is supposedly a good friend?
First of all the whole thing with Jenn was edited which is obvious because there are pictures of her and Lauren at Lauren's apartment after her birthday party. Besides that Lauren never even admitted to liking Brody and she was dating Chris from 24/7 in December when Jenn had her birthday party. On top of all that, Lauren had already put strain on her friendship with Heidi by being so ridiculous about Spencer whom had never personally done anything to her. You can blame Heidi for everything but it's just not how it went down. Both girls were shady to each other last season. I seriously doubt that Heidi had any clue who Lauren was, what LB was, or that she was going to become famous by being on MTV when she met Lauren. She was in San Francisco doing her own thing, they decided to move to LA together because they hated it. You are acting as if Heidi is some evil villian and had this master plan but it doesn't add up. Lauren was NOT famous when Heidi befriended her nor did Heidi have any way of knowing that she was going to be famous. They were just teenage girls who became friends and grew apart. It doesn't make one any better or worse than the other. Everyone acts as if Lauren gave Heidi this big break and she should be eternally grateful but that's not how it works. Lauren was offered her spot on MTV when they found out about her part in the Stephen/Kristin relationship and Heidi was offered her part when they found out she was moving to LA with Lauren. When did they decide to follow Lauren to LA? No one knows, maybe they decided after they realized Heidi was going to and they would have two main characters to focus on. Maybe Heidi helped Lauren land the show, we don't know that she didn't. I just think it's ridiculous to make Heidi out to be evil. She's obviously not. People have lots of friends in their lifetimes, they aren't always supposed to be lifelong friendships. They had a great run at it, they had fun together and hopefully they left their friendship with a mutual respect for each other. The Heidi bashing is just out of control, it's completely unecessary.
