Stop us if you’ve heard this one before: Two famous newlyweds will be taped by MTV cameras as they start their new lives together. But it’s not Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson!
The pair has been together for less than a year and engaged for just over a month, but The Hills’ Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt are already planning to star in an MTV show about their own wedded bliss. Undaunted by the fact that Nick and Jess’ relationship suffered from overexposure and famously went up in flames, an insider tells Star that Spencer, 23, and Heidi, 20, are hungry for more fame and fortune. “They’re madly in love, but they also have a savvy business sense,” a friend of the couple tells Star. “They love being in the spotlight and figure that their relationship would draw a big TV audience.”
The reality TV vets first popped into the spotlight on the MTV series when Heidi started dating Spencer despite best friend Lauren Conrad’s concerns about his character. The couple made even more headlines when Heidi under-went a breast augmentation and nose job earlier this year. Spencer controversially encouraged his girlfriend’s surgery and is now not only her fiancé but also her manager!
By the end of the second season, the tension between Lauren, Spencer and Heidi was obvious- and Lauren was vocal about disliking her best friend’s beau. Spencer says he’d like to have a platform to discuss his relationship with Heidi from his perspective. “I want to have our side of the story come out,” he said. “Imagine if Spencer narrated The Hills…If I’m the narrator, wait to see how much people love Spencer.”
Now that they’re hoping to share the next chapter of their lives on their own show, Spencer may get his chance. And in the process, he and his wife-to-be will no doubt get a lot more of the exposure they seem to crave.
Spencer wants to expand his business managing celebrities, the insider says, and Heidi, now an event planner, wants to get into singing and acting. While there’s no date set yet for the nuptials, they are planning a large traditional wedding, possibly in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. But whether it is televised will depend on MTV’s interest. In the meantime, the couple, who share a home in Pacific Palisades, will be filming a new season of The Hills. And, of course, hitting the gym to get ready for their close-ups!

NO!! don't do a show about them. i will refuse to watch MTV if they put these two on the air. it's bad enough i'm going to have to watch them on the hills. ugh. im still hoping the hills will drop them.
NO WAY!!! MTV, GIVE ME A FUCKEN BREAK!!! WHY ARE YOU WASTING YOUR TIME WITH THESE TWO MONEY-HUNGRY FAME-STARVING DUMBASSES! POSING FOR PICTURES FOR MONEY AND ALL THE LAME PUBLICITY STUNTS! WHO CARES ABOUT THEM!!! I ALSO WISH THEY WILL BE DROPPED FROM THE HILLS! LOSERS!!! HEIDI-SPENCER: HOPE YOU'RE READING THIS! :)
I'm hoping this is MTV'S way of phasing them out of the Hills and hopefully they will be a very VERY minor part of S3! That said, MTV is nuts for giving them their own show, the best way to show MTV and Spencer what we think of them is to NOT watch their show. Seriously. I don't care how morbidly curious you are, don't give that moronic tool the pleasure of any of us tuning in and giving them decent ratings!
mtv people are idiots if they actually sign them up for a show. please.... who cares about these two dumbos
what happened to brody's show?
wow.. the end of the world
This article was from star magazine. People who run mtv are not crazy. who cares about these white trash?
are you kidding me, they better not make a show about these 2 losers, plus we all know they will NEVER get married ... come on like spencer is really straight ... he is GAY GAY GAY.
sad to say, i'd still watch.
however, i think tahts a pretty stupid idea of a show
this is a complete waste of money...mtv should do better by society and give whatever dollars would go to making this show to a charity or something - cause this is a waste of time, programming - and unless MTV is scraping the bottom of the barrel for programming ideas - the production of this show seems like the beginning of the end of reality tv
I won't watch it just because they are sooooo booooooring.
