2 things: 1) I gotta admit, Lauren looks absolutely amazing in this photo. 2) I do find it funny that people called Kristin a slut for posing in Maxim and claimed Lauren would never do it because she's too classy. Yet the second Lauren does it, that mentality is automatically rescinded and reasoning is thrown around saying she did it in a "classy" way. I can imagine them both posing for Playboy and then people back-peddling and saying, "but Lauren's classier because at least she didn't do any crotch shots"
^U gotta admit though, if you do a side by side comparison of this shot of Lauren to some of Kristin's shots, there's an obvious huge difference. Maxim is a mens mag, so yeah, the stuff they feature is going to be geared towards men. but they're now also featuring girls that are little bit more on the conservative side. lauren isn't the first "good girl" to pose. like someone mentioned before, we've seen Hilary Duff, Leann Rimes, Jamie Lynn Sigler, to name a few, pose. anyway, if you pose for pics like these, i guess what really matters is how u want the pictures to look and also how u want to be portrayed. imo lauren stayed classy and still managed to look pretty freaking sexy. so good for her!

I think the issue is that some (not all) Lauren fans called Kristin a slut/ho/etc when she posed for Maxim. I just don’t buy that if Kristin did the exact same poses and wore the same clothing as Lauren that these people would call her classy. It’s the same sort of thing with these women’s love lives - when Lauren goes out clubbing all the time and making out with people, its okay; but if Kristin does the same thing, she’s a ho. The fact that we pigeonhole these people as only good girls or only bad girls is actually kind of a sad reflection on society. These girls are human beings, not one-dimensional characters and neither is perfect.
I actually agree that with your assertion of how the public views these girls, although I think the public thinks LC is more the “pretty” type than the “hot” type. It’s the classic example of Madonna vs. the whore. The problem is that some people think these things are mutually exclusive and its rarely, if ever, so black and white. Like 9:39 said they are two different girls with two different public images. The reason that I like Lauren more is the way she treats people. She holds her friends and family very tight and is there for them anytime of day or night and I love that image of a person that has that much caring. Even when they stomp on her she remembers the good times and feels the loyalty and does what a good friend needs to do.
I have never seen that kind of caring from Kristin. In fact just the opposite. Her image that I saw, saw her tossing friends aside to achieve her goals. I am in no way saying that she treats all her ex friends badly. I'm just saying that it is the IMAGE I have seen. They are both pretty in their own way so who is "cuter" doesn't play into why I like Lauren more. I just love her personality at least the personality we are allowed to see.
