Friday, October 19, 2007 || Audrina Patridge 'Feels Bad' for Heidi Montag
The feud between The Hills' former roommates Lauren Conrad and Heidi Montag rages on, but the icy relationship between Montag and Conrad's new best friend, Audrina Patridge, may be thawing. "I feel bad for Heidi," Patridge told PEOPLE at Victoria Secret's Phi Beta Pink social Thursday night. "Everyone talks so much s--- on her and I just try to stay away from all of that, it's not my business anymore."
The relationship between Patridge 22, and Montag, 21, wasn't always so complicated. "Heidi and I were friends," Patridge explained. "I didn't know Lauren, but Heidi and me always hung out, and then I became friends with Lauren ... I mean, so many things change all the time."
Still, a reunion is going to take some effort from Montag. "If I ran into her I wouldn't go up to her ... [She's] another person who hurt my friend. If I saw her out and she came up to me to say 'hi' I'd say 'hi,' but I'm not going to go out of my way," said Patridge.
She does, however, go out of her way to defend Conrad when it comes to her choice in men. Asked what her roommate, who kissed on-again off-again fling Brody Jenner in a recent Hills episode, needs in man, Patridge replied, "I honestly have no idea. Lauren is very, super picky and if there is one thing wrong with the guy she's just done. It's good but you need to give people a chance."
Conrad, who arrived at the party before Patridge, didn't let her picky tendencies keep her from having a good time. After customizing a Pink hoodie for herself and one for Patridge, Conrad played beer pong with E!s resident film expert, Ben Lyons.

AUDRINA IS SO FAKE! She's the one who made the drama between lauren and heidi worse after that USweekly interview. Audrina said so much shit about Heidi in that interview and Speidi blamed lauren for that. After all the shit she talked, she's gonna say that she "tries to stay out of it" now??? okkkk....

How is it Audrina's fault that Spencer and Heidi blamed Lauren for the US Weekly article? She has no control over what they think or feel and besides I'm sure Heidi and Spencer actually loved the article - they seem to love all press - the good and the bad.
Besides Audrina was just sticking up for Lauren and being a good friend, she is a sweet girl and doesn't deserve all the crap slung her way by haters.
Also regarding Audrina's comments - magazines and reality shows both take great liberty with editing, so who knows exactly what was said,
personally I don't think she said anything wrong. She told the truth - Lauren is picky with guys. Lauren admits to being too picky w/ guys so how is Audrina being rude when she's just reiterating something Lauren has already said?

Audrina is more of an opportunist than Heidi. Before the heidi/LC feud, Audrina got very little attention. Now she is in all these magazine and doing appearance with LC or Brody and getting paid. She did nothing to reunite Lauren and Heidi. Now, she is talking shit on LC. Lauren has 4 friends on the hills they are : Lo, Whitney, Frankie and Brody.
Why on earth would Audrina want to reunite Lauren & Heidi? Heidi has done nothing but trash talk Lauren these past 6 months plus spread a vile rumour about her!! Lauren wants nothing to do with Heidi and if and when she changes her mind about their friendship I'm sure Heidi will be the first to know. It is not up to Audrina or anyone else to try and reunite them.
Heidi has also had every opportunity Audrina and Whitney and Lauren have had. It is her own fault she messed it up and now instead of appearing in US Weekly w/ the rest of the Hills girls she CHOOSES to do staged bikini photos with creepy Spencer.
Don't blame Audrina or anyone else for Heidi's bad decisions!

This is basically a repeat of the conversation Audrina & Lauren had out by the pool (they had just gone out w/ the trainer and his friend the night before) and Audrina said the very same thing to Lauren's face. She wasn't slamming Lauren by any means. No different that Lauren looking out for her w/ JB. It's what friends do.
Audrina did nothing to reunite Heidi and LC. First, she was Heidi's friend, I am still confused as to why stopped being Heidi friend, since Heidi did nothing to Audrina. Audrina saw that it was more beneficial for her to side with LC. She trashed Heidi on the USweekly article just to show that she has LC's back. Face it Audrina is an opportunist more so than Heidi. She has no loyalty because if she did she would still be friend with Heidi who was her close friend. She did not even know LC which she admitted to in this article.

1. Pretty much everybody was friends with Heidi till she stopped calling them after she moved. You can't be friends with someone if they put zero effort into the friendship!
2. Why would Audina or anyone want to try to reunite them? I don't understand your thinking here. Lauren is fully capable of picking up the phone if she wants to talk to Heidi. Yes, of course she misses their friendship - she misses who she thought Heidi was, not who Heidi has become.
3 Audrina didn't trash anyone. She was the most vocal in the article but if you had actually read it she pretty much just stated the facts. Heidi & Spencer have taken it much further in EVERY interview they have done, spencer calling lauren names on his website, heidi telling lauren she always feels bad for her. Some friends!

I am sorry but I disagree with the majority of opinions. Audrina was Heidi's friend first therefore regardless of what happen between LC and Heidi she should have remained friendly with Heidi. They could have grown apart but she should not have sided with Lauren. Audrina did not have to play an active role in reuniting the two girls but she could have done something. For example, Heidi came to her work to bring her an invitation to her house warming party. Audrina could have told LC ... lets us go and talk to Heidi about all these rumors. Things might have been different. Moreover, at Frankie's she was talking friendly to Heidi when LC left to go downstair... the minute Heidi left the scene she talked shit on Heidi to some strange dude.
I think that Audrina is fake. Lo and Whit are much better friend to LC and are not wishy-washy.
If Audrina had any loyalty her and Heidi would be friendly to each other. Plus, Heidi has NEVER said a negative thing about Audrina.

Audrina is definitely the nicest girl on The Hills; do you not remember when Spencer tried hitting on her and she didn't go there because he was with Heidi? She was a good friend to Heidi, before Heidi went nasty; if she's treated well, she treats other people well. I'd hardly call that fake.
I just think its weird that after all the crap that Audrina said about Heidi, now she's trying to stay out of it and say its none of her business. In my opinion, she made the situation worse by always egging lauren on but now she is trying to act neutral and says she feels bad. It just doesn't match up.
Heidi ditched Audrina, not the other way around. Their friendship started having problems right after Spencer started lying about Audrina to make Heidi jealous. Remember how Audrina wasn't invited to her b'day party last year and how Heidi freaked out when Audrina showed up and Heidi told her Audrina she didn't want to talk to her?
After that night they had dinner and Heidi played nice for 1 evening but the truth is they were never really friends again after that. Heidi stopped calling Audrina (again) and basically dropped her like a hot potato because of Spencer's lies (or maybe her own insecurity) There is no staying friends with someone who ices you out.
Heidi was a crappy friend to both girls and I can't fathom why either of them would ever want to be friends again. Why pursue a friendship with someone who doesn't treat you well?
You all are forgetting that Heidi was rude to Audrina and tried to freeze her out before she did the same to Lauren.

Exactly 6:23, You are right! Audrina did a lot of trash talking about Heidi in several interviews not just the 6-page US weekly spread. Truth is I dont think that Audrina is a good friend to Heidi and thus she probably will not be a good friend to Lauren eventually. Heidi was upset that Audrina was willingly hanging out with spencer when she knew that Heidi liked spencer. Yes, Spencer was wrong and so was Audrina. Apparently, Audrina was also hanging out with Jordan the summer he and Heidi broke up. Once things were squared away, Heidi had no more problems with Audrina and the two of them even planned LC suprise 21st B-day together. Then, LC and Heidi feud... Audrina sided with Lauren because it was to her advantage not that she cares about these two girls at all.
I remember Audrina 'trash talking' about Heidi's ring being a fake in an US magazine article.
But, guess what? Heidi's ring turned out to be a fake! So, that wasn't trash talking- it was just stating a fact.

I don't expect everyone to love Lauren. We all have different personalities so we relate to different cast members. I like everyone including Kristin but Heidi grates on my last nerve. I'm usually not too vocal on her because I respect others opinions but when you start obsessing with one person to the point of being blind to their faults it gets ridiculous.

I dont think anyone is suggesting that Audrina is not a pretty girl. All some people are saying is that possibly she does not have Lauren best interest at heart since she was able to drop Heidi in a heartbeat to befriend Lauren (which was to her advantage professionally).
but those people suggesting she "dropped heidi in a heartbeat" are conveniently forgetting that heidi refused to speak to her for half of last season over spencer-related issues. so really, that situation was what initially drove a wedge between them.
(and for the record, I don't think audrina's pretty, I think she's kind of odd-looking. but that's not really the point)

Heidi ditched Audrina not the other way around. From what we saw on the show Lauren befriended Audrina during the whole Spencer drama.
I don't know who started calling who but they seemed to show Lauren picking up the phone more often than not. Heidi had been MIA w/ both girls for a month or so at that point and out of frustration and lonliness probably the 2 girls connected and bonded. Personally I'm glad. I like Audrina and her frienship with Lauren. Heidi I never connected with as well.
i rememba audrina sayin that she would always have laurens back..and i rememba her speakin bad of heidi in such bad ways lauren didnt ever make audrina stick up for her but i personally think that if audrina hadnt got involved in da first place... she wouldnt b in this situation she now wants to b friends wiv heidi which in someways makes her looks 2faced and also for the fact that shes hurting lauren and turning her back on lauren well audrina was the one who hu was there for lauren and lauren was there for audrinia wiv the whole justin bobby thing and lauren may speak out of place bout him but i knw id rather have a friend hu told me the truth but hw they feel bout everything.....its all stupid lauren should just stick wiv lo and whitney they seem like the honest type of the girls there the ones hu r on laurens level :)!!!!
