That radio tour Speidi did was in August. Heidi met Lauren at that event in early September -- this just proves the bitch is fake. How can you say Lauren is a low life and try and apologize to her like three weeks after. The 2nd confrotation was late October.

Great episode. The only thing that pissed me off was Lauren inviting Heidi over to the apartment. I'm sure it was for privacy reasons but I'd never let that girl anywhere near where I lived!! I don't watch this program avidly but I felt the need to commentate this one time. All the I-Love-Lauren / I-Hate-Heidi / Spencer-Can-Die politics aside, these are two girls that terribly miss the friendship they used to have. It's written all over their faces. Watching them made me reflect on past friendships and how some can be saved, while others --- like Lauren and Heidi's --- can be a complete longshot. Hopefully those two will find the closure that they're looking for because posting it on a reality television show is probably not how they pictured it. Wish those girls luck, they need it while they're staying in the playground from Hell.

Agree with alot of what people have already said. Personally, if I were Lauren, I wouldn't have let Heidi come over, but it did accomplish one thing. I disafree completely Lauren seems to be leading a pretty great life IMO I'm sure when she's working the Marc Jacobs show, or traveling to NY w/ Whitney and Audrina or out clubbing Heidi is right in the forefront of her thoughts - NOT! Naturally Lauren reflects on that relationship. She feels betrayed and hurt as she should. You don't fix things with a friend when they have done awful things to you. These weren't little things or a harmless mistake. The things Heidi & Spencer did and said were deliberate, planned out and in the media of all places. Whether Heidi was or wasn't involved in the rumour (my vote is she was) she certainly has participated in all the bad press. Good riddance to bad rubbish I say. I hope Lauren got the closure she needed.

When the rumor came out, I don't believe that Heidi was an active participant, but was probably in denial and ignored evidence. When Lauren accused Speidi, Heidi was hurt and that turned into anger - that's why she went on the offensive with her interviews and such. I think now it's getting harder and harder to believe that Spencer didn't have anything to do with it and she now feels bad. I don't even think she wants to be with Spencer anymore - she just doesn't have anyone else.

I pretty much don't judge people. Or rather I try not to. In many instances I can see both sides. For example I love Lauren AND Kristin. I was also on Audrinas's side when Lauren apologized after Vegas. But, with the Heidi stuff it's pretty black and white to me. There are just certain things you can't condone. Being treated like crap is one of them. It's not acceptable to be lied to, it's not acceptable to slandered in the news. It's not OK to ever be in an abusive relationship whether it's with a best friend or a guy. Lauren was smart enough to know when to call it quits and I give her a lot of credit. It's never easy to say good-bye to a friend. Even when that friend is behaving badly.

I believe that Lauren was justified in her reaction to Heidi's apology. People are saying that Lauren needs to "get over" the sex tape scandal but honestly that is a major character attack on a person and it would be very hard for me to just "get over" a rumor and let it go.
Heidi never once denied that Spencer started those rumors and her excuse that "she has no control over what Spencer does" is crap. If you are engaged to a person and living with them 24/7 you are going to know whether or not they started a rumor about your best friend.
Heidi doesn't deserve Lauren's friendship. She was given a second chance when she lied to Lauren's face about the Jenn Bunny situation. She totally let Jen Bunney take the blame. It showed what Heidi was capeable of. Setting someone up and then running for cover when the crap hit the fan. What a weasel. Lauren should have dropped her then and there IMO. That radio tour Speidi did was in August. Heidi met Lauren at that event in early September -- this just proves the bitch is fake. How can you say Lauren is a low life and try and apologize to her like three weeks after. The 2nd confrotation was late October.
Lauren knows Spencer is a douche. She also knows what Heidi will say and how she will react. This was what? Like the third "confrontation" this season? Regardless, yes, we all know that Spencer and Heidi are idiots but how idiotic is it that Lauren keeps entertaining this issue with her? She invited her over to her apartment and yes, they are on her turf, but c'mon. If you're just going to sit there and act like a bitch, why even bother inviting her over? And then who ends up sad, upset and in tears? Lauren... again.
It's so far beyond the sex tape at this point. Heidi's talked endless shit about Lauren. Spencer went on a huge, disgusting rant about her on his blog. They've gone on Seacrest to diss her. So for Heidi to now play the "poor me" card is absolutely gag-inducing. The fact that Lauren wasn't bursting out laughing at Heidi's faux-sincerity kind of breaks my heart because I think Lauren really did care about her, while it's hard to believe now that Heidi ever gave a damn about her. She was either lying over the past 6 months, or she's lying now when she's apologizing. And considering that she's still not owning up to what she's been saying over the summer and fall, I know which persona I think is the real Heidi.

The only thing that pissed me off was Lauren inviting Heidi over to the apartment. I'm sure it was for privacy reasons but I'd never let that girl anywhere near where I lived!! And how funny was Lauren when she threw the flowers on the counter!! I was so proud : ) Seriously!!
Lauren really handled things beautifully. She spoke her mind clearly without yelling and didn't for one second let Heidi off the hook.
Heidi on the other hand was ridiculous. She "wishes she could take it back" but "I had nothing to do with it" I swear that girl can't keep her lies straight from one minute to the next. And does that girl ever show any emotions other than a tiny smile or a pout? She's so creepy!
I guess next week is the fake break-up. Please tell me Heidi & Spencer are not going to be a part of the Hills next season. What is the point?
Loved the Audrina parts of the episode. I think Justin was being an ass with the burping strictly for the cameras benefit but poor Audrina. Why do that to her? And yay on her promotion.

Lauren was nowhere near a bitch. She knew Heidi would keep contacting her so I think she figured why not hear her out and get closure. Unfortunatly Heidi never is never honest, never direct and there is no talking to the girl. Its always someone else did it. and poor little me, etc.
Honestly, I think Lauren is still trying to figure out if the Heidi she knew ever existed. This is the same girl who spent the summer at Lauren's house and was befriended by all of Lauren's friends and invited to be on the Hills. I'm sure Lauren wonders why she didn't see through Heidi when others (Jason etc) did.
Thus the big question was the "old" Heidi just acting? Or did she change? We'll never know but for Lauren, who was her best friend, I'm sure it still haunts her.

I don't watch this program avidly but I felt the need to commentate this one time. All the I-Love-Lauren / I-Hate-Heidi / Spencer-Can-Die politics aside, these are two girls that terribly miss the friendship they used to have. It's written all over their faces. Watching them made me reflect on past friendships and how some can be saved, while others --- like Lauren and Heidi's --- can be a complete longshot. Hopefully those two will find the closure that they're looking for because posting it on a reality television show is probably not how they pictured it. Wish those girls luck, they need it while they're staying in the playground from Hell.

Agree with alot of what people have already said. Personally, if I were Lauren, I wouldn't have let Heidi come over, but it did accomplish one thing. It showed once and for all on camera that Heidi is trying to weasel out of what was done and pleading ignorance. She did the exact same thing with the Jen Bunney sitch.

I'm sure when she's working the Marc Jacobs show, or traveling to NY w/ Whitney and Audrina or out clubbing Heidi is right in the forefront of her thoughts - NOT!
Naturally Lauren reflects on that relationship. She feels betrayed and hurt as she should. You don't fix things with a friend when they have done awful things to you. These weren't little things or a harmless mistake. The things Heidi & Spencer did and said were deliberate, planned out and in the media of all places. Whether Heidi was or wasn't involved in the rumour (my vote is she was) she certainly has participated in all the bad press.
Good riddance to bad rubbish I say. I hope Lauren got the closure she needed.

Lauren has said her fair share of negative things about Heidi and especially her relationship with Spencer.
I definitely feel bad for Lauren, but I also feel bad for Heidi - not that she doesn't deserve any of this, but I don't think she's really a malicious person at heart. She just has such low self esteem that she's allowed Spencer to rule her life and do such vile things.
What I think happened was that she was understandably upset with the Lauren/Spencer situation and Spencer convinced her that it was all Lauren's fault. When the rumor came out, I don't believe that Heidi was an active participant, but was probably in denial and ignored evidence. When Lauren accused Speidi, Heidi was hurt and that turned into anger - that's why she went on the offensive with her interviews and such. I think now it's getting harder and harder to believe that Spencer didn't have anything to do with it and she now feels bad. I don't even think she wants to be with Spencer anymore - she just doesn't have anyone else.
Its just a sad situation all around, IMO.

I pretty much don't judge people. Or rather I try not to. In many instances I can see both sides. For example I love Lauren AND Kristin. I was also on Audrinas's side when Lauren apologized after Vegas. But, with the Heidi stuff it's pretty black and white to me. There are just certain things you can't condone. Being treated like crap is one of them. It's not acceptable to be lied to, it's not acceptable to slandered in the news. It's not OK to ever be in an abusive relationship whether it's with a best friend or a guy. Lauren was smart enough to know when to call it quits and I give her a lot of credit. It's never easy to say good-bye to a friend. Even when that friend is behaving badly.

If I'm remembering correctly fame was never something Lauren was looking for. She's not an actress. She's a girl who got lucky by being picked for Laguna Beach. I believe that Lauren was justified in her reaction to Heidi's apology. People are saying that Lauren needs to "get over" the sex tape scandal but honestly that is a major character attack on a person and it would be very hard for me to just "get over" a rumor and let it go.
Heidi never once denied that Spencer started those rumors and her excuse that "she has no control over what Spencer does" is crap. If you are engaged to a person and living with them 24/7 you are going to know whether or not they started a rumor about your best friend.

Heidi doesn't deserve Lauren's friendship. She was given a second chance when she lied to Lauren's face about the Jenn Bunny situation. She totally let Jen Bunney take the blame. It showed what Heidi was capeable of. Setting someone up and then running for cover when the crap hit the fan. What a weasel.
Lauren should have dropped her then and there IMO.
Instead she gave her another chance and what did Heidi do?
Went to her low life boyfriend and told him whatever private things her and Lauren talked about as bf's do. Then, when Spencer acts like a middle school student and leaks an insulting rumor about Lauren, Heidi pleads ignorance.(surprise!) Heidi is as bad as Spencer. She could care care less about putting Lauren in a vulnerable position again. She only cares about herself, as always. No wonder this girl has no friends.
