Tuesday, November 13, 2007 || Will the Real Heidi Montag Please Stand Up?
Well, it seems clear after last night’s episode of The Hills that Heidi and Lauren are definitely not going to be friends again, right? Unless you read Blender magazine’s new feature on aspiring pop star Heidi, who says the person we know as Heidi on The Hills is just a character she plays. Huh?!Says Ms. Montag of life on reality TV, “I’m just glad I don’t have to deal with all the drama. I mean, it’s fun to watch, but I’m glad it’s not my life. I’m actually a drama-free person.”
Among other choice tidbits from Lauren’s former BFF, who, of course, was accompanied by her ever-present bore-friend Spencer Pratt:
On the gigantic (and rumored to be fake) engagement ring fiancé Pratt gave her: “It’s at home,” Montag told the interviewer. “I take it off at night because it’s big and I don’t want it getting caught in my hair or scratching my face, and I didn’t have time to put it on today.”
On her career plans: “I’ve always been singing. I’ve been dancing since I was 2—hip-hop, jazz, tap, everything. I was a wicked stepsister in Cinderella. I was a fairy in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. I was Beatrice in . . . an old English play. Acting, singing, dancing —it’s always been in me.”
On how, in addition to her music ambitions, she’s also planning on becoming an award-winning actress: “I also plan to win an Oscar,” she says. “I’m very ambitious.”
On how she’s not a brainless shopaholic: “I like to read a couple books at once. I was reading the Princess Diana book. I’m reading a book about Chicago and the mob. Right now I’m also reading the Bible, beginning to end. I’m very religious. That’s how I’ve gotten to where I am.”
Wow, this definitely isn’t the Heidi we know from The Hills, is it?
Which, of course, begs the question: Is the Heidi we see on the show closer to the real Heidi than the “real” Heidi who’s being interviewed in Blender?

I don't think she looks photoshopped. She always looks good on the Hills too.
It is a decent pic because she is not smiling showing her big teeth and it is far from her face. Her nose is def photoshoped. Oscar and Heidi do not go together.

Its definetely photoshopped, but they photoshop everyone in these magazines within an inch of their lives. They did the same thing to Kristin and Lauren with their respective Cosmo for men magazines.

If she's "very religious" then she would have never said all the nasty things she said about Lauren in magazines and on radio. She also wouldn't condone a significant other to do it either.

It's funny how their petty feud has made it impossible for Lauren's fans to give Heidi even the simplest compliment. Pathetic, really.

How do you know Laurens fans havent given Heidi a compliment? Obviously everyone wont agree on the same thing but it has nothing to do with being a Lauren/Heidi/Audrina/Whitney etc. fan.
I'm a Lauren fan and I think Heidi looks good, but it doesnt really look like her either.
Heidi has sat next to Spencer in many interviews trashing Lauren and saying bad things about Lauren so I don't think you know what you are talking about!!!!!
Calm down..Nobody knows what lauren has said or done to Heidi behind closed doors or how many confrontations they have had, so I wouldn't get all worked up about this so called fued. Anyway heidi looks really pretty here!
I'm sure Lauren has said stuff about Heidi, but to say Heidi has never said nasty things about Lauren is ridiculous.

my not liking Heidi has nothing to do w/ lauren! That girl is just not attractive outside (looks) or inside (personality).
Heidi is definitely not ugly, but I wouldn't describe her as cute or pretty. She's somewhere along the middle.
However, I must say that for someone who is reading the Bible... she needs to check out the part that shuns living with someone you are not married to and pre-marital sex. I am not saying she has to be perfect, (I'm not be any means) but I don't walk around claiming to be so religious. If you are a strong Christian and know your Bible, people would know without you having to tell the world. And it would definitely come across in the show (scripted or not).
As much as I hate to defend her, I don’t think it’s fair to assume Heidi is not religious because she has pre-marital sex and cohabitates with Spencer. The bible has been interpreted in many different ways (the reason why there are so many different sects of Christianity) so who are we to say how she must interpret it? I don’t know whether Heidi is actually very religious or just saying that (I have my doubts), but the reasons stated above are certainly not grounds to believe she’s lying about her religion.
I'll break it down for you:
1)She's not wearing the ring NOT because she "didn't have time" to put it on..I'm sure she had enough time to put on a pound of makeup and do her hair, but didn't have 5 seconds for the ring???
She's not wearing that ring because it's a cheap-ass piece of fake crap like her and her engagement!
2)She's reading several books at the same time. The only thing she's qualified to read are the Sunday comics!
3)She's very religious...um, yeah.
Religious people don't use media outlets to condone and help spread vicious lies about ANYONE.
4)She's going to win an Oscar...
The only thing her acting would be qualified to win is a trinket from those 25 cent machines in the lobby of a grocery store.
In summary she's the dumbest, most horse like nobody on television because of befriending Lauren Conrad!
She looks like a cheap hooker. She's definitely not religious.

3:31- I wouldn't assume that she's lying about her religion just because she's shacking up with spencer. it does suggest, however, that she doesn't take it very seriously... most bible-thumping types aren't cool with "living in sin".
and it's a bad sign when a picture of you is good because it doesn't really look like you...
