Thursday, April 03, 2008 || Join Lauren in the fight to stop killing baby seals
Lauren Conrad, from MTV's hit show "The Hills", has spoken out against Canada's commerical seal hunt:
"I am a huge animal lover and that includes seals. I think the killing of innocent baby seals is awful and should definitely not be allowed."
Every year, defenseless baby seals are brutally clubbed in Canada just for their fur. Most of them are babies less than 3 months old.
You can join Lauren in the fight to stop this senseless slaughter by sending a message to Canada's Minister of International Trade, David Emerson. Tell him that, for many reasons, it's time to end the hunt for good.

I don't think he/she is trying to be negative, he/she is just stating the obvious, frankly, I don't care, just get out and vote.

She's not trying to be anyone but herself. Lauren has been supporting causes she cares about back when she wasn't even that famous yet in Laguna Beach. I'm glad she's still at it now.
I personally don't think she even knows much about the topic. She's probably just thinking, "oh baby seals, they're so cute! It's wrong to club them!"
I'm not saying seal clubbing is ok by any means (I'm against it too), but I wish people would be more informed about things before talking about how against/for them they are.
