Grand Opening of Bowlmor Lanes

[...]

The biggest stars of the night, of course, were the women of "The Hills," the MTV reality series that spun off the network's "Laguna Beach: the Real Orange County."

Lauren Conrad, whose journey from Laguna Beach to the Hollywood Hills made her the biggest star in the universe of both shows, was refreshingly prompt with her arrival, showing up not long after Fry and a guy in a 10-foot-tall red bowling pin costume, presumably the Strike mascot.

The fourth season of the show just started production with a trip to Las Vegas last weekend, Conrad told us, though she didn't want to spoil any of the drama that undoubtedly will ensue when it returns later this summer.

As for Strike, while she's not much of a bowler, Conrad said she thinks it's more her scene.

"It's better because the others can be a little cheesy," she said.

A few guys on shows most of you haven't seen arrived – Aaron Hill and Zach Lively from ABC Family's series "Greek" if you must know – and then "Hills" co-stars Whitney Port and Lo Bosworth arrived.

Port seemed disarmingly real and down-to-earth, admitting that she'd worn shorts under her short dress and showing off white socks inside her boots, the better with which to bowl, of course.

Bosworth talked about her graduation from UCLA next week – she's an art history major – and that while she's interested in working in some aspect of fashion, "The Hills" is "a pretty good job for now."

As another reporter asked her whether she planned to bowl in her high-heeled sandals, we were struck by the reality of her toenails, where the tasteful polish (burgundy, if we had to guess) only covered the front half of each, pushed forward by the never-ending growth of the nails.

While waiting for Audrina Patridge, the final "Hills" star to arrive, we moseyed inside Strike to check out what the regular people were up to, and found a nightclub with 30 lanes in full swing.

[...]

We missed the arrival of Patridge, though from what we gathered, she'd been a bit of a diva, and refused at first to take any questions from the media, who'd waited at that point for two hours for her to arrive.

She and her entourage were given the first lane inside Strike to use, while Conrad and her posse were at the opposite end of the room.

Apparently that drama at the close of the last season – Patridge and Conrad fighting over why their friendship was on the rocks – was still too volatile to risk a rumble in a brand-new bowling alley on its opening night.

Pity, though, because THAT would have really been worth the wait to see.

  5. o gosh Lo... she is root of all Lauren's friendship probs (except maybe the Heidi incident)... remember in Laguna Beach season 1 where LC was friends with that preacher's daughter (I forget her name) and Lo was pulling LC away from that friendship... and then LC said that also Jen Bunney was getting in between Lauren's friendship with Lo... and now Lo with Audrina... LO NEEDS TO GET ANOTHER FRIEND OTHER THAN LAUREN!!!

  9. I hate when they try to make Audrina sound bad, she prob came late to avoid walking in w/ Lauren and Lo and of course didn't want to answer questions because they all would be about Lauren & Lo!! She is always super nice to all the stalkerazzi so i think they're being unfair here.

Audrina and her sis looked great btw & i'm so glad casey is sticking by her side. that's what good friends and sisters do!!
