Lauren Conrad has no doubt Whitney Port can carry her own reality show.
As Us Weekly reports in its new issue, MTV is prepping a Hills spin-off in which Port becomes bicoastal while working for fashion PR firm People’s Revolution — and befriends a group of NYC gals (including socialite Olivia Palermo).
"I think that Whitney will do really well with it," Conrad told Usmagazine.com at the Grand Opening Gala of Bowlmor Lanes West Coast Outpost in Tustin, Calif., on Thursday. "She is a very likable person."
Conrad's tip?
"I would just tell her to have fun with it," she said. "She's always made it very clear on The Hills that she doesn't want her personal life involved on the show, so it would definitely mean that she would have to come out of her comfort zone."
She added, "I hope they do the show."
Port was mum when asked about the spin-off.
"As far as I know, I've just been filming for a fourth season of The Hills," she told Us. "Everything is just kind of hearsay at this point.
"The thought of it sounds a little scary because I've always tried to keep things a little bit private," she admitted. "I just have to take everything day by day."

As I said in a post below: with the news of whitney and brody getting their own reality shows, speidi venturing out into music, and famewhoring and audrina actively pursuing her acting career- all indications seem to suggest that season 4 might be the last season of the hills. why else would everyone be pursuing business ventures that would directly conflict with their obligations for the show? Thoughts anyone.
ReplyDeleteyea .. sounds right.. I don't think I can stand too many more seasons of Lauren and Lo rolling their eyes and acting like high school teens. I think Lo ruined this season of the Hills... she changed the mood of everything.

and besides because of the show they all have so many other things going on for them anyway.
i'm quite upset witney is having a spin off..always thought she wanted to be a normal adult & be away from the spotlight

ReplyDeleteif they're actually doing a spin-off show, i wish it were with audrina instead. i think it would be much more interesting to see the music scene from an insiders perspective including undiscovered bands and Audrina and other girls actually going out on dates and having relationships, you know the type of thing that NEVER happens on the Hills!
ReplyDeleteThe fashion thing has kind of been done on the Hills and while I love it i don't anticipate getting to see all that much more in that area because let's face it -whitney is not gonna be coming out of her shell anytime soon!
