I read on another blog that Audrina and JB are strictly platonic but keep up the charade for the Hills because Audrina and JB's relationship has become a staple to the show. Adding fuel to those rumors, Audrina has been spotted out several times with the lead singer of popular punk/rock band (their name eludes me at the moment). But supposedly she's dating him on the downlow.
given jb's erratic behavior last year, i truly believe he was either doing drugs or drunk for most of the filming of the hills. because he seems so subdued this past season.

And wasn't it supposedly the same sort of deal to with Brody and Lauren?
......But all of the cast have said repeatedly during interviews that all of the drama and everything that happens on the show is REAL. You don't think Lauren would lie on national television, do you? She's said over and over again that everything is real, only they embellish it a little when they are recreating it for the cameras. But the story lines, the fights and all of that are REAL. Therefore, according to Lauren (and other members of the cast) this relationship between Audrina and Justin must be real. It can't be a "charade for the Hills". And if it is, and it turns out that Lauren and the cast have been lying to us, then what else might they be lying to us about?
5:32 i love the hills but i think a lot is embellished at this point. how else do you explain Stephanie just happening to be in Lauren's computer class? Lauren befriending Stephanie? A whole year Iof Lauren and Brody? And Elodie herself said that her not showing up for work on Heidi's anniversary was all planned by the producers because they needed a better exit for her. She had already quit a month before that was filmed and not because of Heidi. Again, I love the show but I think they need to stop embellishing, i like the simple normal stuff, like the girls just hanging out.
JB and audrina seem to have the same relationship as brody and lauren: friends with benefits. i think the hills trys to make it seem like both couples have feelings for each other when they really don't other than friendship. i wouldn't doubt that they all used to have feelings for each other (maybe in early s3), but now all four of them have been spotted with other people.
well it's all this "embelishing" that makes me think the hills is and should be coming to an end. i still watch it and like most of the cast but it has changed so much since season 1 and not for the better. i think it should end before the ratings start to drop.
umm 5:32, I hate to break it to you, but it's not all real. Not by a long shot. A lot of it was fake from the beginning. The place they lived in wasn't actually the "Hillside Villas", Lauren didn't acutally "earn" an internship at Teen Vogue, she doesn't exactly "go to school", Brody was never "head over heels" for Lauren, etc. etc.
I do think a lot of the personal issues they had with each other were kind of real at first, just highly exaggerated and glamourized. Now the "realness" of this show is just stupid.
jb is hot - but this outfit is ridiculous. i like him for some reason. I never feel like he's trying to pretend to be someone he's not. I really don't think he and Audrina are dating but I do think they are friends who sometimes hook up.
how could anyone in there right mind find this idiot attractive. he always looks like hes on some sort of drugs and he always walks around like hes the chyt i starting to believe hes so famous.his sense of style sucks and he also seems like hes in dier need of a serious shower!!

Brody’s at least attractive, but that spoiled rich pretty boy thing is kind of turn-off for me. At least JB seems more manly - Brody looks like he’d start crying if someone at the pool got his hair wet.
I think Justin is hot. He strikes me as the type of guy who dresses odd just to be different. I prefer him over Jason and Brody too. He's obviously got his flaws but I like him.
in replying to the jason thread i just realized what i like about justin. he has not once cashed in by giving an idiotic interview about Audrina or the Hills. What always annoyed me about Brody was how he always had to profess that he never dated Lauren, Stephen does that too, and Jason well, we won't even go there...
