Are Lauren Conrad and Kyle Howard dating? They'll be the last to tell – for right now.
The Hills star played coy when asked Saturday about reports from pals – supported by sightings at several L.A. parties recently – that she and the My Boys actor are an item.
"I'm just dating," Conrad, 22, told PEOPLE on Saturday at the Do Something Awards Pre-Party for the Teen Choice Awards. "I'm single and having fun."
Howard, 30 was more direct. "I'm not going to answer that," he said Saturday at the Celebrity Kickball event hosted by French Connection in Malibu.
They met through Brody Jenner a few weeks ago, a friend tells PEOPLE, and have been seen together at Crown Bar on July 23 – "Almost on top of each other," a witness says – and a few days later at Project Beach House in Malibu and at jazz night at Teddy's at the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood.

What 30 yr. old man hang out with these people? One who is a strong believer in pedophelia! Seriously, a man of 30 who is in his right mind would not want to sit around and watch these twits cover there mouth with their hand when one finds out the other kissed her "best friend" (notice how everyone was LC's BEST friend - Lo, Jen Bunny, Heidi, etc. Best usually means stand alone!).
Okay, bringing pedophelia into it is getting nasty. Lauren's 22, not a child...let's not get carried away here bashing this guy and equating him to a sex offender.
That's not to say I don't think he's weird. I was just thinking maybe he's a bit socially inept...not that he's some child predator. I don't have a problem with 30 year-olds dating 22 year-olds...I just think its weird since Lauren's a little silly and immature for her age so its hard to imagine her dating an older guy.
I totally agree. It's not so strange for a 22 year old to be dating a 30 year old. But, and sorry to completely reiterate your wording, yes Lauren is rather silly and immature for her age so i wouldn't have expected her to be on of the 22 year olds dating a much older guy.
Not to be crude, just being honest, I also don't imagine this lasting very long. My thoughts are that he's just looing for an easy lay from a pretty girl. And he might get it as Lauren is a sucker when a guy gives her attention.

A pedophile is interested in CHILDREN and although Lauren might be immature at times she is far from being a child. Besides, it's not really our business who she dates other than deciding if he's hot or not and in this case definitly not hot.
But if she likes him and he treats her well, good on them!
eh, having the guy treat her well doesn't seem to be one of the necessary qualities Lauren looks for in a guy. Anyone can see that by her track record.
