I liked her summer collection better. I don't like this flower print - it's a little cheapy IMO, plus it doesn't really seem like something you'd wear in the fall.
I'm also confused on some of the pictures. The Genevieve dress says its conservative and hits at the knee and then on the model its like 5 or 6 inches above the knee. And once again, the dress is shown with a belt that's not included.
I do like the high waisted sateen skirt. And the ruched halter dress is pretty although I'm not sure it'd look good on most people. Other than that, I think it's pretty underwhelming.
some cute stuff, i like the joie dress. but $165 for long leggings?! that's kind of ridiculous. i noticed there's a bunch of accessories. did lauren design those too?
^Yeah, that's bad. I don't know know why people don't check that stuff.
I'm not going to blame Lauren (although it does have her name on it so she should be more careful), but how stupid is her marketing team/person? I'm guessing Lauren got the name from the movie - just look at the DVD cover!
Well, we all know Lauren can't speak French based on her pronunciation of Les Deux. She pronounces Deux as Doo when it's really pronouced Derr. Maybe she's spending too much time in those clubs rather than focus more energy on perfecting her line and try coming up with something innovative and not stuff that's been done before. All I can do is YAWN at this collection. BORING! Mummy and Daddy are wasting their $$$ on her tuition at FIDM, if in fact she really goes there which I doubt! Lo graduated this spring. How come we never heard of LC graduating? Hmmm?
I just went on her site and they have a link titled Product Suggestion and I suggested they changed the fall 2008 to it's correct French wording - La Vie en Rose! I left my e-mail address. Let's see what happens. lol
Also, I scrolled through the fall line and then the summer line and most of the outfits are the SAME thing!!!! They even use the same model just change the color of her headband. LAME!!!! No wonder her clothes are BOGO FREE at Kitson! lol
Let's not forget Lauren and Whitney not knowing how to pronouce Givenchy. I don't think I expect a lot out of these girls, but I was kind of shocked by that one.
If its a little much to expect Americans to pronouce French words, why use them? I'm guessing it's to make it seem sophisticated and cultured, but then when its patrons can't even pronounce it right it just shows how unsophisticated and uncultured they are. It's kind of comical, but it's also a bit embarassing.
I agree with whoever said it's too expensive. I'd rather waste my wages on a more established designer or brand. Her collection look like the exact same stuff you can get on asos for a discounted price.

It's LA vie, not LE vie. If you can't speak French then don't do it, Lauren!!

Everyone pronouces Les Deux that way. It's a little much to expect Americans to be able to pronounce French words correctly.
No wonder the French hate us.
well fuck the french
