Friday, November 14, 2008 || Audrina: The Hills Will Return for a Fifth Season!
With shooting of the fourth season of The Hills about to wrap in a few weeks, Audrina Patridge, 23, is addressing speculation about the show’s future.
“There is going to be a fifth season,” Patridge tells PEOPLE. “We just found out.”
Patridge, who recently filmed the thriller Sorority Row with Rumer Willis, adds that — despite all the drama — she and her costars have a good time filming the show: “We have fun with each other and we’ve stuck it out this long, so we might as well do another one.”
But Patridge admits that the cast’s divergent interests have made filming difficult.
“At one point, all of us were like, ‘No, we don’t want to do another season,’” she says. “I wanted to do more movies, and Whitney moved to New York and she’s doing her own spin-off. And Lauren’s dating [My Boys actor] Kyle [Howard] but he can’t be on the show because he’s on another show, so that makes it hard.”
Something else that wasn’t easy: Recent buzz that Conrad had a fling with Patridge’s sometime-boyfriend Justin Bobby.
“It was really hard — one of his best friends that told me that, and I called Lauren and she hangs up on me,” Patridge says of the rumor, which turned out to be false. “And then once I sat them down and talked to them, I was like, ‘Okay, this is all I needed!’ You’ll see it on the show. It was very emotional.”

Are you sure Audrina??? If Lauren hung up on you, it was because it was just rumor and a real stupid one too. To even think she and Justin would hook and that you believed it....Rumors sweetie!!!
I agree that the show has lost some of it's steam and appears to be fabricated at parts, but that isn't gonna stop me from watching season 5

I know I'll probably still watch (although I wait longer and longer to watch the episodes), but I do think it's a bad idea and frankly I don't know what they're thinking.
Really, I'm surprised as I've noticed interest has faded quite a bit already. If I were them, I'd probably rather go out more on top. I'm not sure if its so good for their careers anymore.
I hope she's wrong about this. The hills just isnt what it use to be and if they keep trying to stretch it i think it will just get worse and be bad for everyone. I think they should go out while they're still on top and not because it flopped. if they have a fifth season i think the records will drop dramatically.
the season is gonna blow.
