Thursday, February 12, 2009 || Lady GaGa Covers Heidi's "Fashion"
First I was all piddle-in-my-Pradas excited for the "Confessions of a Shopaholic" movie. But then last week I find out that the Pussycat Dolls up and stole the amazing "Bad Girl" song from Rihanna. Well damn if it doesn't get worse, internet pals.
You know good ole' Lady GaGa ... the no pants party gal with an eye for uniqueness and individuality. Well, she must have bumped her bangs on a large piece of crystal-costuming, because someone let her cover a Hedi Montag song.
Now, I've only heard Heidi's version of "Fashion" once when Ryan Seacrest played it on KIIS FM a while back. I remember that I hated it, I remember that she bugged the nachos out of me and I remember that I thought that song should never see the light of day.
The sad thing is, the GaGa version is not nearly as bad as the Tog-Tog version. I believe the fact that Lady G has all of these labels and clothes that she rambles off so frivolously. And, I can defiantly see how the song fits in with the theme of the movie. But, will I like it? NO! I refuse to on simple principle alone. No one who fake-marries fleshy beards and is famous for being a rich snot will have any influence on my music library.
