Saturday, February 28, 2009 || Lauren Quitting The Hills...Again
After yesterday's seriously dramatic trailer, we suspected that the upcoming season of The Hills was its last, and now Lauren Conrad confirms she's out of there after this season.
She explains to Seventeen: "My biggest thing with the show was that I wanted to walk away from it while it's still a great thing. I always want to remember it that way. I gave MTV a deadline and said, "This is as long as I can do it and stay sane.' "
While the show hasn't exactly been great for at least a season and a half, Speidi's fake marriage nonsense put it into straight-up ridiculous territory. So it's probably not the high point Lauren would like to believe she's leaving at, but we'll take it—if she's forreal, that is. Back at the beginning of the fourth season, she told EW, "Every season, I think it's the last. Right now, I think this is the last season."
So is she messing with us again, or will she finally put The Hills out of its misery? And what if she leaves and we're stuck with the Heidi and Spencer show? In which case, does anybody really win?

I am for bonus episodes in the spring and a new season starting on August that will end in december so I can have one good season of my favorite show.

It will kind of sad to see it end. A lot of us have grown up with LC and the Laguna kids and it has been fun to see LC grow into a woman and be successful and not just a spoiled rich kid. She made it on her own.
I will miss growing with her.
I saw it at the store and I was going to get a copy when I noticed her stache and quickly put it down. She lives with 5 other girls yet not one told her she has a visible mustache.

Yikes - that cover is all kinds of bad! That's waaay too much eyeliner and she looks kind of waxy and well, demented. It kind of creeps me out the more I look at it. Seventeen has the worst covers.
I think this will be the last season of the Hills (and unfortunately, she probably won't get to go out on top). However, wasn't there talk about her doing a different reality show, still centered on her? I wouldn't be surprised - I think she's a little scared to give it up. I'd like to see her do a hosting gig instead - bring back MTV's House of Style! She's got to be better than Cindy Crawford and all the bland models they used to have hosting that show. (yes, I know - I'm old).
