Lauren Conrad is dating - but nice guys need not apply.
“Nice guys are great to take home to your parents, but you want a guy that keeps you on your toes,” The Hills star told PEOPLE Saturday at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner in Washington, D.C.
Is that why the reality star always seems to fall for playboys like Stephen Colletti and Brody Jenner? (Not to mention bad boys like Jason Wahler.) “It’s a pattern I have,” she admitted.
Not that it’s soured her on searching for the right guy: “I am dating,” she said, shamelessly segueing into a teaser for the next season. “You will see it on The Hills.”
So if it’s not kindness, what is Conrad looking for in a potential love interest?
“Someone with a great sense of humor is the most important thing, and someone who really supports me in everything I do,” she said. “I don’t ever want to make an excuse for trying to work hard and having my own life. I love a guy that supports that and loves that.”
These days, in fact, Conrad is working harder than ever — balancing shooting the reality show with work on her clothing line and preparing for her next runway show.
“[It's] insane,” she said. “I’m really excited about it. Now that I have a little bit more education, I’ve started to introduce new fabrics and colors and really develop the brand.”
That could mean expanding her fashion empire. “Maybe shoes,” she hinted. “It’s a problem. I definitely have a closet dedicated to [shoes].”

i think she needs to rethink this thought process: nice guys are the ones you marry, the guys who get take-out when you're not feeling well, the guys who buy you flowers just cuz.... bad guys are ones who cheat (jason, brody) lie (jason,brody stephen) do drugs (jason, brody) need i go on?

"nice" is not a synonym for "boring", I don't know why so many girls don't get that. there are actually guys who are fun, and interesting, and don't treat you like crap.
she's 22 - we all want the bad guys at that age.
when she's ready to settle down, then maybe she'll go for the good ones.
I’m sorry, but what the hell is she talking about? She wants a guy who’s supportive, but not nice?
What she should just say is that she wants drama. People who don’t like nice guys just need drama in their life - the thought of having a nice, normal relationship scares them because then what would they bitch about? They’re the same people who go on and on about not being able to trust people because they’ve been hurt, or should I say betrayed, yet don't realize that they're the problem, not the victim.
Ugh, sorry for the rant but drama queens just get on my nerves.

Once you meet a nice guy who treats you right there's no interest in the bad boys.
that's all lauren knows,(being treated badly) so she's going to stick with it!!
