Good for her - both for presenting and for getting the deal with her clothing line.
I hope she only presents best reality show though. Anything else would be pretty lame, even for the Emmys who have gotten almost as bad and irrelevant as the Grammys.
Her clothing line can't be that bad if the models who hand out the awards will be wearing them on the Oscars. So why is everyone saying her clothig is not selling and all other kinds of bad stuff??
And I personally think her clothing line is okay and I think it is probably doing fine (although I don't buy that its doing phenomonal or anything considering how much old stuff she still has on her website).
However, I think them choosing her to dress the models is probably more indicative of how good her PR team is rather than the clothing line itself. I mean, I don't think I've ever remembered what the models handing out trophies wore - I think they're probably supposed to fade in with the background. Regardless, its not going to hurt - if anything the press now is probably getting her more attention - so good for her.
If Lauren wants to be a serious designer she will have to face some failure along the way. (as in kitson) Personally, I thought Kitson went on a bit too much about how Lauren didn't promote her line enough IN THEIR STORE. Sounded like they took it personally. They dropped Victoria Beckham's also but didn't go off on her and what she should do or how she should promote. Anyway, kudos to Lauren for making a powerful comeback with The Emmy's. I didn't see that one coming. Still, I have to say I think her best designs are still to come. Good Luck Lauren!
